Modern Warfare 3 campaign walkthrough mission 10 – Frozen Tundra

The story is reaching its conclusion in the Modern Warfare 3 Frozen Tundra mission. You’re sent off to the frozen tundra of Siberia to track down and ambush Makarov’s convoy to hopefully bring an end to his murderous rampage. You play as Captain Price, armed with a POSW 528 and an X12.

Modern Warfare 3 Frozen Tundra walkthrough

The mission begins underwater. Wait for the convoy to get nearer then detonate the C4 to break the ice. The trucks will sink down to the sea bed. Swim forward to the overturned truck and interact with the window to extract the target. Makarov is nowhere to be seen and the prisoner is a familiar face.

After the cutscene, push forward through the forest until you reach the overturned tree. Aim down your thermal scope to see the enemies ahead. Wait for them to get nearer then shoot them down quickly. Continue on until you meet a sniper. Flank left through the trees on the left and take them down.

Press on until you hit a shack with the red truck outside. You can either flank using the tree line and avoid the area, or attack the soldiers head on. Opt for the latter and you’ll need to watch out for three snipers perched in the lumber behind the shack. They’re using thermal camo so you won’t see their heat signature through your scope. Down them, then press on to the other side of the clearing, following the river up the valley to the lumber mill.

Lumber Yard

Follow the path down and stick right. Pick off the enemies near the truck and the balcony above. Head right into the building, steadily making your way to the upper floor. There are two snipers posted there so be prepared to take them out quickly. 

Reinforcements will arrive. Use your vantage point to take them down. There’s an RPK in the office that will make easy work of them along with a stack of grenades. Jump down and make your way to the back of the saw mill to meet up with Farah.

Press on down the hill to the frozen lake. Your squad mates say to expect an ambush. Flank left and when you’re ready start firing. Use the containers as cover and push forward then take out the enemy using an RPG on top of the snow hill. Clear out any stragglers then push on to the exfil point.

Clear out the guards on the dock to your right then hold the position around the small boat. Two waves of reinforcements will arrive in quick succession. If you run out of ammo, there are several weapons in the boat you can swap to.

Board the helicopter and evacuate to complete the Modern Warfare 3 Frozen Tundra mission. Up next, we have the Gora Dam mission.
