Anyone out there playing Marvel Rivals and primarily using the devastatingly nimble Spider-Man or the damage sponge that is Venom may want to consider turning off the auto-swing function. Doing so makes swinging slightly more straightforward, giving you some more autonomy and control over where you’re going. It also allows you to get around maps quickly and at speed. Auto-swing, or easy swing, may make challenging characters easier to use, but it also dictates how your swinging works, so we will explain how this can be turned off. Hopefully, with the easy swing turned off, you can master two of Marvel Rivals’ best characters and earn plenty of XP in the process.
Where to turn off auto-swing in Marvel Rivals
To turn off easy swing, follow these steps:
- Open Marvel Rivals and go to the cog at the top right of the screen
- Click on the Settings option at the top of the menu
- Go to to Keyboard/Controller (depending on how you play)
- Select the Combat option
- Click on All Heroes and select either Spider-Man or Venom
- Scroll down to find Automatic Swing (Spider-Man) or Easy Swing (Venom),
- Untick the option the option so that it shows a cross
- Repeat this process for the other character
Before diving into a game for the first time after turning auto-swing off, it’s worth popping into a training match to get used to how it now controls. You’ll notice a big difference and should see your play as Venom and Spider-Man improve significantly.
