Marvel Rivals is here after multiple betas and is shaping up to be a hit with over 10 million players after the first weekend of launch. If your party is desperate for a Strategist and you know your pals playing on a different platform as Luna Snow, being able to link up and play together could take your team up a level, especially at the moment when the game has no role queue. If you’re jumping in for the first time and want to know if the game has crossplay so you can play with your friends on other platforms, we have you covered. The short answer is yes, Marvel Rivals has crossplay, but we’ll dive into the specifics below.

Does Marvel Rivals support crossplay?

Marvel Rivals supports crossplay between all the platforms, so you can play with friends across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. During the beta, this feature wasn’t present but was always promised to arrive at launch, and fortunately, NetEase Games has delivered. If you’re a console player and you only want to play with other console players, there’s a quick and handy way of turning crossplay off, too.

How to turn off crossplay in Marvel Rivals?

To turn off crossplay, head to the home screen (the one you load into when first firing up the game and where you can change settings and search for matches) and tap the small box that reads Console Only. By clicking this, you’ll turn crossplay off and ensure you’re not playing with PC players who may have an advantage due to using a keyboard and mouse. If you’re struggling to find it, we’ve pointed it out in the annotated image above, but thankfully, it’s a simple process that saves you from having to enter the settings.

Marvel Rivals currently doesn’t have cross-platform progression, which is the same as during the beta. During the beta, Thad Sasser from NetEase Games spoke about the issue, saying that “the audience has already suggested this several times, so we’re looking into it.” The dev team has since confirmed that cross-progression is something that will be added to the game. There is no information about when that will happen, but it’s at least encouraging to know that it’s in the works. But for now, we recommend playing on the platform you enjoy the most just to be safe.
