Don’t know where to find the Pilgrim’s Perch key in Lords of the Fallen? As you make your way into the second major area of Hexwork’s new Souls-like RPG, you may begin encountering closed doors that require the “Pilgrim’s Perch Key” to be opened. But where is this key, how do you get it, and what does it get you?
Here, we’re going to cover where to find the Pilgrims Perch key in Lords of the Fallen, and what this key can get you. If you’ve got more burning questions about this game that you want answered though, why not check out our guides on how to upgrade weapons or how to get remembrances as well?
How to find the Pilgrim’s Perch key
You can find the Pilgrim’s Perch key by speaking to Stomund, Captain of the Fidelis, who sells it for 9500 Vigor, or wait until he leaves the area later in the game. You can find Stomund to the right hand side of the Vestige at Skyrest Bridge, your main hub. Speak to him and then select his “Purchase” option to see what you can buy from him.
While his inventory is quite large, and pretty useful early in the game, the most expensive item he sells is the Pilgrim’s Perch key, for a whopping 9500 Vigor. You may want to check out the best farming spots if you’re intent on getting this key early into your runthrough. There is also a possibility to get it for free though. After you beat Spurned Progeny, the Skinstealer and reach the second beacon, you’ll find that Stomund has vanished from Skyrest. If you haven’t bought the key from him by this point, you should find it alongside the note he’s left for you.
What does the Pilgrim’s Perch key do?
For such a price, you’d hope that the Pilgrim’s Perch key unlocks some pretty amazing loot. There are two doors we came across when we played for our Lords of the Fallen review that can be opened with this key.
The Bellroom Vestige Door
The first is just opposite the Bellroom Vestige. Opening this door up will lead you into the path forward for the game after you finish Upper Calrath. You’ll need to fight through a number of enemies, and overcome the Sacred Resonance of Tenacity boss. Eventually, you’ll be able to open up routes to the Path of Devotion and everything found there, and the Manse of the Hallowed Brothers. There’s plenty more loot and story to be found here, though be warned that relative to Pilgrim’s Path, the areas and foes are extremely challenging.
The door in the cavern
The second is off to a corner nearby to the cage you’ll find blacksmith Gerlinde in. Opening it up will lead you out onto a small wooden platform absolutely stacked with enemies, including some fiercely difficult knights. Whether or not you choose to defeat them all is up to you, but if you’re more interested in the loot out on the platform, there’s a small cage containing a powerful pendant called the Warrior’s Claw, which increases both physical damage and physical defence.
That covers where to find the Pilgrim’s Perch key in Lords of the Fallen. If you’re on the lookout for other tips and tricks, or want something more specific like how to kick or how to soulflay, we’ve got you covered.
