If you’re playing Survival World in LEGO Fortnite and are trying to complete a few quests, then top of your list is knowing how to invite an NPC to live in your village. This may seem pretty daunting when you first start. How can you invite someone to your village when you don’t even have anything built? Luckily, it’s not too hard, and we’ll take you through it.

How to invite an NPC to live in your village in LEGO Fortnite
Unsurprisingly, the first step to inviting an NPC to your village is to actually have a village. To do this, you’ll need to progress a bit. Talk to Cuddle Team Leader, who will provide you with a series of tasks to complete one after the other. This involves building a campfire, building shelter, and eventually, building a Village Square.
Once you reach this point, collect 10x Wood and 10x Granite from scavenging the area around you, and place your Village Square down to establish the surrounding area as your village. This will allow NPCs to start appearing to visit your village.

If you’re struggling to find Wood lying around, try hitting nearby bushes. When destroyed, they will drop Wood and other materials.
However, you can’t invite them to live here just yet, as they will need certain requirements to be fulfilled first. The first NPC you see will only require you to have a bed. Collect another 10x Wood and build yourself a bed. It doesn’t matter where you place it, so just stick it somewhere nearby.
After you’ve built your bed, return to the NPC and you can ask them to live in your village. If you’ve done everything right and have met their needs, then they will happily agree, and you’ll have your first villager and a completed quest.
You don’t actually have to place your bed under cover to be able to invite someone, so just place the bed wherever you want. It’s also a good idea to make several beds to start with, so if some more NPCs visit your village in the future, you won’t have to scramble to make a bed for them then.
Be aware that you can only have a certain number of NPCs in your village depending on what level your village is. If you reach a cap, then you’ll either have to further upgrade your village or get rid of one of your current villagers to make room.
