How to play multiplayer in Last Epoch

Ever since the multiplayer patch for Last Epoch dropped, fans can play co-op with their friends by selecting the Play Online option on the main menu.

By selecting this option, you’ll enter the multiplayer realm of Last Epoch. From here, you can open up your Steam friends list which is also your Last Epoch friends list, and select to portal to them. A portal will appear next to your character, and you can travel through it to reach their location.

You do need to be friends on Steam to portal to another player. Make sure that you add a player if you want to join them another time.

How many players can be in co-op?

You can play co-op with up to three different players. This allows for a four-player team to take on the world of Eterra and all the dangers that lurk in it.

Sadly, as of now, there are no plans to implement more players able to play cooperatively. You’ll only be able to play with up to three other players.

Is there couch co-op for Last Epoch?

No, co-op in Last Epoch is only available through online multiplayer. There is no couch co-op or local co-op available. You’ll need to connect to online services to play with your friends.

Players will need to join the online server in order to play with friends.

Does Last Epoch have PvP multiplayer?

No, there is no PvP currently available in Last Epoch. Players will be able to join other players to take on the various enemies and dungeons in Last Epoch, but there is no player vs player zone for characters to fight each other.

It’s unknown if Eleventh Hour Games will ever add PvP to the game. For now, fans will have to be content with the co-op experience the game currently offers for multiplayer.

Members of the development team has expressed interest in adding some kind of PvP to the endgame of Last Epoch. While there are no current release plans for it, it’s not unlikely that fans will see it after the 1.0 launch.
