Wondering what the max level you can reach in Last Epoch is? In order to get to the endgame and reach the top of the leaderboards, you’re going to need to grind. When have you finally reached the top?

Last Epoch is an Action RPG that lets players build up their character by crawling through dungeons, crafting amazing loot, and fighting impressive bosses. Make sure you check out whether you should choose Ezra or Artem for a good head start to the game. Once you begin to reach the endgame, you may wonder what is the max level? We’re here to let you know.

Max Level in Last Epoch

The maximum level your character can reach in Last Epoch is level 100. This is standard for plenty of ARPGs, and Last Epoch is no exception. Once you’ve reached level 100 on your character, you can’t go any higher.

It’s also important to know that there are different types of levels you will be grinding in Last Epoch: the Base level for your character, Skill levels for specific skills, and Mastery Class levels.

The Base level for your character is the level that goes up to 100. This is earned solely through getting enough experience points to level up to 100. Here are the bonuses you’ll earn for each Base level you gain:

  • +5 Health and +1 Health Gained on Potion Use per level
  • 1 Passive point every level after level 3.
  • Specialization slots for Skills at levels 4, 8, 20, 35 and 50
  • Certain skills depending on your Class

Skill levels are earned through gaining experience while a skill is Specialized and is capped at level 20. Mastery Class levels are earned by spending points in the Passive trees.

How long does it take to reach max level in Last Epoch

While there’s no official time for how long it will take to reach level 100, most estimates are around 60 to 70 hours to grind your way up to the level cap. However, with a powerful character build, some players can successfully grind to level 100 within just a week or two.

As you get to higher Base levels, it will be much harder to gather EXP and make it to the next level. While the first 70 levels or so will take up time, it will be much harder to go from level 70 to level 100. The endgame content is also, expectedly, more difficult than early quests and chapters.

Luckily, though, there is no death penalty currently in the game. You won’t lose EXP when you die, so this makes it quite a bit easier to reach level 100 and advance, especially in the endgame.

Death Penalty

While there is currently no death penalty or loss of EXP when you die, Eleventh Hour Games has expressed interest in adding this feature in. Take advantage of it not being there while you still can, and don’t be afraid to die.

That’s everything you need to know about the max level and how long it takes to reach it in Last Epoch. Be sure to check out if you can transfer an offline character to online in Last Epoch so you can know if you’re able to bring your favorite character to the online realm.
