Wondering if you should return Ezra’s Ledger to Ezra or Artem while playing Last Epoch? Both will reward you with some sweet loot, but which option is better?

Last Epoch has plenty of exciting quests to complete while you’re mastering your class and crawling through dungeons, and the quest to retrieve Ezra’s Ledger is just one of them. No matter which edition of the game you have or what microtransactions you’ve purchased, you’ll be able to play through this quest. But, when it comes time to choose who to give the ledger back to, between Ezra or Artem, who should you pick?

Last Epoch – should you pick Avarice or Gambler’s Fallacy?

While both pieces of gear you receive are good, you should give Ezra’s Ledger back to Ezra to receive Avarice Unique Leather Gloves. Artem will instead reward you with the Gambler’s Fallacy Unique Ruby Amulet if you give the ledger to him.

Both pieces of gear have their advantages, but Avarice is more useful, particularly for elemental builds. The modifiers for Gambler’s Fallacy are also less reliable than the ones for Avarice. Here are their stats compared:

Avarice Gloves

Implicits

  • +10 Armor
  • +(5 to 10) Mana

Modifiers

  • 3% of Elemental Damage Leeched as Health
  • (30% to 39%) Increased Leech Rate
  • +13% Elemental Resistance

Gambler’s Fallacy Amulet

Implicits

  • +(5 to 25) Health

Modifiers

  • +100% Critical strike chance if you have not dealt a critical strike recently
  • 50% less Critical strike chance if you have dealt a critical strike recently
  • (10 to 15) Health Gain on Crit

Luckily, neither of these pieces of gear is useful for endgame builds, and you’ll replace them with better armor as you go along. So, even if you end up picking one you don’t think is very useful, it won’t be your most powerful piece forever.

Morally upstanding citizen

If you’re looking to choose solely for moral upstanding, you should give the ledger back to Ezra since he is the collector. Artem is merely looking to erase his debt. While this won’t affect the gameplay or story, if you’re looking to play as the good guy, Ezra is the best choice.

Can you get both Avarice and Gambler’s Fallacy

No, there is no way for you to receive both Avarice from Ezra and Gambler’s Fallacy from Artem. Once you choose to give Ezra’s Ledger back to one of them, the quest for the other is automatically ended.

Since the quest will end for the person you choose not to give it to, there’s no way for you to receive the piece of gear they give you. As mentioned above, you will likely replace the gear given quickly as you level up. Still, choose wisely.

That’s everything you need to know about whether to give Ezra’s Ledger to Ezra or Artem. Be sure to check out whether Last Epoch is down so you can know if the servers are up to allow you to play through Eleventh Hour Games Action RPG.

Last Epoch Ezra or Artem

What piece of gear do you get from Ezra or Artem when you return the ledger?

If you return the ledger to Ezra, he will give you the Avarice Gloves. If you give it to Artem instead, he’ll give you the Gambler’s Fallacy Amulet.

Can you get both pieces of gear?

No, as soon as you give the ledger to one of the NPCs, the quest fails for the other. You can only pick one piece of gear to receive.
