How to Heal in Sons Of The Forest

In Sons Of The Forest, there are three main ways to heal. The easiest option is to sleep. In the early game, the simplest way to do this is to construct a tent, approach it, and hold the Z button. You’ll wake up a few hours or more later (your fatigue level determines the length of time) feeling as fresh as a daisy with your health topped up. For the best results, go to sleep with a full belly and your thirst levels maxed out.

Consuming meds is the next most efficient way to heal in Sons Of The Forest. To consume meds, access your inventory by tapping the I button, hover over the meds (the small pill bottles to the left of the central crafting zone), and left-click to eat them. Eating meds heals you over about 20-30 seconds and fully replenishes your health.

Lastly, you can heal in Sons Of The Forest by consuming food, water, or drinks looted from campsites. Food can be anything from berries foraged throughout the island and cooked meat from hunted animals to cereal and MRE packs found in crates and containers. The healing effects of food are the slowest of the three options, but food is a lot easier to find than meds.
