Buying Overwatch 2 Skins
One of the most common ways for people who do not have the time to grind, or simply would rather have skins now rather than later, is to purchase skins, including legendary skins and epic skins. You can purchase skins through the currencies that are available in Overwatch 2. There are four types of currencies:
- Overwatch Coins
- Legacy Credits
- Competitive
- Tokens
The main form of currency is the Overwatch Coin, which is received by completing Seasonal Challenges on your Premium Battle Pass or purchases with real-world currency.Â

Legacy Credits are given to you from any credits you may have already acquired from the previous Overwatch game. You are limited to the kinds of skins you can get, so take note of this when trying to use these credits. You can also transfer your old cosmetics from Overwatch to Overwatch 2!
If you play a lot of Competitive (Ranked), you will also receive a lot of Competitive Tokens which are used for purchasing Golden Guns, which transform the skin of your favorite hero’s weapons to a golden variant.
And finally, Tokens are used to purchase Overwatch 2 League Skins. Or you can also purchase other types of cosmetics. These are acquired by watching League matches online or purchasing them with real-world currency.
