When you eventually encounter this, all you’ll need to do is to advance the time using a specific mechanic. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t exactly teach players how to use this feature so they often get stuck waiting it out instead.
But since we aren’t Phineas Nigellus Black and we want to see you succeed, we’ll be showing all you need to do so you can make time go faster in the game.
How to make time go faster in Hogwarts Legacy?
You can advance time in Hogwarts Legacy by accessing the map and pressing the button for the ‘Wait’ command. For PlayStation and Xbox users, you’ll simply need to press R3 or the right analog stick and a pop-up window should then appear asking for your confirmation. On the other hand, PC users have to tap the ‘F’ key after pressing ‘M’ to bring up the map.

As mentioned before, a few aspects of the game can only be done at specific times like retrieving Demiguise Moon Statues at night or attending classes during the day. This is when advancing time particularly becomes useful as it allows you to skip the tedious wait time.
How to Change Weather in Hogwarts Legacy
Unfortunately, you can’t change the in-game weather even if you advance time continuously. The seasons and the different weather effects you experience throughout your adventure only occur as you progress through the game naturally. No wizard or witch has yet found a way to manipulate the weather, which might be for the best as this kind of ability would give the magical world too much power.

How to change to Day and Night in Hogwarts Legacy
You can go through day and night cycles in the game by simply making use of the ‘Wait’ function that can be found by opening the map. Once the map is opened, console players will need to press the R3 button while PC users have to press the F key.
If the time somehow didn’t pass, this may be because the game doesn’t consider it to be day or night yet. Once that happens, you’ll simply need to repeat the process to move time forward.
