How to unlock the JAR-5 Dominator in Helldivers 2
The JAR-5 Dominator can be purchased from the Steeled Veterans store in the Acquisitions Centre for a price of 80 Medals. Be aware that in order to purchase items from the Steeled Veterans store, you need to have a Premium Warbond, which costs 1000 Super Credits. You must also spend at least 200 total Medals to unlock the JAR-5 Dominator in the store.
Should you buy the JAR-5 Dominator in Helldivers 2
While this is naturally based on personal preference, we would recommend against buying the JAR-5 Dominator. While it has decent damage, and looks to be a solid gun on paper, several factors make it a less-than-ideal weapon to use.
It has high recoil, making it difficult to accurately hit shots, while a lack of automatic fire means you can’t even spray and pray with it. It also has a fairly low magazine capacity, which when coupled with a long reload time makes it a hassle to use in-game.
It has its uses, especially if you back yourself to hit your shots, but there are simply better choices to use – at least until the next balance patch.
