How to defeat Hulks in Helldivers 2

You might need to beat a Hulk to either pursue a personal order or to defend your friends. Once you stumble into a menacing Hulk in Helldivers 2, here’s how you can beat them:

• Aim for the head – The little head in the middle of the Hulk’s chassis is a good spot to target. No other spot on the front lets you deal solid damage unless you’ve got armor-penetrating rounds or explosive gear.
• The vents in the back – This is a better weakness to target because of its surface area. Hulks also seem to take more damage from the rear. Deal enough damage and you’ll cause these vents to explode, dealing massive damage. If it doesn’t outright kill the Hulk, it drains them of health and slowly ends their rampage.
• Drop some explosives on them – A grenade launcher or the Expendable Anti-Tank are solid weapons to use against the Hulk. Remember to watch out for splash damage. And some Hulks have flamethrowers so you’re better off taking them down from cover.
• Call in an offensive stratagem – While you don’t need an Eagle 500kg Bomb for this foe, you can always call in an Orbital strike to take out a Hulk and any foes in the vicinity. 

Where can you find Hulks in Helldivers 2

Play in the Automaton sectors that are to the left of Super Earth for a chance to face Hulks. They usually spawn in when the difficulty is Hard or higher so pick a difficulty option accordingly. I’ve faced a good number of them in the Eliminate Automaton missions that task you with killing a specific number of enemies before calling in an extraction.

Tackling this foe is easier with friends as one player can distract them. This creates an opening for your allies to knock the Hulk down. Static fields like those from an EMS strike can slow them down if you want to prioritize the mission instead.
