Keepsakes in Hades 2 can be the difference between a short-lived, botched run and progressing past that one boss you could never quite beat. They are essentially gifts handed out in exchange for Nectar from the various gods, heroes, and characters littering the Underworld and Olympus.
They provide a huge variety of passive perks and buffs, from damage boosts to Magick regeneration, all with the aim of helping you reach further with each successive run. There are 27 Keepsakes to find in Hades 2. Here’s how to get them all.
How to get Keepsakes in Hades 2
To get a Keepsake, you’ll need to gift Nectar to any of the gods, heroes, and other characters from Greek mythology you meet in both the Crossroads and when out on runs. Approach an NPC and you’ll see a ‘Gift’ prompt show up at the bottom of the screen – RT on an Xbox controller, R2 if you’re using a PlayStation controller, or G on PC.
Note that if you’re out on the run, make sure you give the gift first before taking the Boon. Otherwise, the NPC will hand over the Boon and disappear. As thank you for the gift of Nectar, the NPC will give Melinoe a Keepsake, though you can only receive one Keepsake per character, so be wary not to double-dip and waste Nectar.
How to get Nectar
To get Nectar, you’ll need to either by either from the Wretched Broker in the Crossroads (available when you’ve concocted the Kinship Fortunate Incantation at the cauldron), or find it on runs by clearing the locations behind gates with the Nectar symbol, a small orange jar.
How to equip Keepsakes in Hades 2
To equip or change Keepsakes, return to the Crossroads and enter the second area where Schelemeus hangs out with all the shades. Enter and go past Melinoe’s shrine, then go downwards when the area opens up and you’ll see a shimmering cabinet box. It’s just opposite the discs where you can swap weapons and tools.
Interact with the box to see a list of all the Keepsakes you’ve found so far and swap out the one you’re currently holding. Note that you can only have one Keepsake equipped at any one time. Other than the Crossroads, you can also swap out Keepsakes via a Keepsakes box between regions, though you’ll need to unlock the Kindred Keepsakes Incantation at the cauldron first.
At the Crossroads cabinet, you’ll also see the level of each Keepsake. You can increase this by taking them out on repeated runs, effectively increasing their stats, potency, efficiency, and generally improving the perk they confer on Melinoe. The more locations you get through and the more enemies you defeat while having a Keepsake equipped, the higher its level.

Transcendent Embryo | Primordial Chaos | Gain a random Common Chaos blessing once this night. Every 8 Encounters, replace it. |
You can pick up quite a few Keepsakes from NPCs that loiter around the Crossroads, but finding them out in Erebus, Oceanus, and beyond is a little trickier. That’s especially the case for more elusive characters like Icacus and Primordial Chaos. You can also get Keepsakes from merchants such as Narcissus and Arachne, which aren’t a guaranteed spawn for every run. I recommend always having a couple of Nectar on-hand at all times in case of an unexpected random visit from an NPC you only meet very rarely.
