Let’s take a look at the Granblue Fantasy: Relink Supplementary Damage skill. With so many skills in Relink, you might want to know what they all do, and Supplementary Damage is a good one to know about.

As a buff, it effectively doubles your DPS, letting your attacks do more damage. There are two variations of Supplementary Damage, and we’ll explore them as we go through this guide.

What is Supplementary Damage?

Supplementary Damage is a skill in Granblue Fantasy: Relink that grants your attacks another instance of damage in one hit. To further simplify this, think of Supplementary Damage as additional damage dealt to an enemy as well as your base attack or the skill you used. This effectively increases your DPS, letting you lay the hurt on enemies and dispatch them faster.

Supplementary Damage comes in two forms: a character Skill or the Sigil you can equip. At face value, both of these work the same way and each time Supplementary Damage triggers, it will always deal an extra 10% of the original attack.

You will see the damage done by the Supplementary Damage skill appear above the enemy you hit, always after the first attack you do. To this end, Supplementary Damage is a great DPS buff in Relink. The Sigil version of Supplementary Damage has a fixed percent chance of triggering another hit, and this chance will increase the more you upgrade the Sigil.

This is where the Skill version of Supplementary Damage differs – every hit you do while under the effects of a skill like Zeta’s Vengeful Flames or Lancelot’s Blauer Dolch will trigger Supplementary Damage after every hit. The downside here is that the buff granted this way will vanish once the skill wears off. The Sigil is a way to always have it active.

How to get Supplementary Damage

The Supplementary Damage Sigil is a random reward from trading in a Curio at Zabtha in Seedhollow. While you’re collecting Curios, we recommend saving them all until you unlock either Extreme or Maniac difficulty, as this might help improve the rarity of your rewards.

Some characters can learn a Skill that grants them Supplementary Damage. Outside of Skills that activate this buff, the other way to get Supplementary Damage is to find a Sigil that grants the ability. Here is a list of all the ways you can get Supplementary Damage in Granblue Fantasy: Relink:

The unfortunate reality is you simply need to be blessed by the RNG to get the Supplementary Damage Sigil. At the base level, the Supplementary Damage Sigil has a 12% chance of triggering Supplementary DMG. You can upgrade this Sigil to level 45.

At maximum level, it will have a 100% chance of triggering Supplementary DMG. The Sigil might also appear from Transmuting at Siero’s Shop, but it is an incredibly low chance.
