Alongside Svartalfheim and Vanaheim, Midgard is one of the largest realms to explore in God of War Ragnarok. Finding every last item and collectible takes some doing, but we’re here to help with our Midgard 100% completion realm guide.
In this article, we’ll walk you through the location of all the ravens, Nornir chests, Berserker Gravestones, lore, artifacts, and more so you’ll be on your way to reaching that satisfying 100% in not time.
At this point it’s worth noting that the following contains some spoilers. We’ve done our best to keep things factual, only providing enough details for you to find what’s needed. But, if you’ve yet to discover all of Midgard, you may want to finish the God of War Ragnarok story and explore a bit more before referring to this guide.

Well of Urd, Midgard
Nornir Chests 1/1
At the entrance to the Well of Urd area, before beginning the ascent, take a right to find a Nornir chest. Look right and up to find the first rune.
The second is on the ledge above and a little to the left of the chest. To reach it, grapple up then drop down onto the ledge.
The third rune is accessible from the ledge you were before dropping down. Look right to find it. Loot the chest to get a Horn of Blood Mead.
Legendary Chests 1/1
Grapple and climb up towards the well until you climb past a breakable wall. Continue around to the left instead of going up to the ledge where there’s a zipline leading down the mountain.
Grapple down towards the breakable wall and then through it to find a Legendary chest containing the Rond of Purification shield attachment.
Odin’s Ravens 1/1
Climb up to the ledge with a fire burning above the zip-line and look out towards the lake to find an Odin’s Raven.
Remnants of Asgard 1/1
After beating the story, return to the Well of Urd. Head over the ledge at the entrance of the area and take a left. Defeat the enemies to tick off the Remnants of Asgard for the area.
Hel Tears 1/1
After releasing Garm in Helheim, return to the Well of Urd. About halfway up the climb after you squeeze through the gap in the ice, you’ll find a Hel Tear.
The Derelict Outpost, Midgard
Odin’s Ravens 1/1
From The Derelict Outpost mystic gateway head towards the lakes until you see a longboat above on the right. Look inside to find one of Odin’s Ravens.
Lore 1/2
Climb the chain to reach Sindri’s shop. Head forward and look at the symbol on the right to initiate the Sigrun’s Curse Favor. Go inside and move the crane so that you can grapple across. Run straight ahead and look left to find the Blodugr Steinn Lore Marker. Here you’ll also find one of the Troll statures needed to get the Steinbjorn armor set.
Odin’s Ravens 2/2
Move the crane in the center of the area and grapple across. Go forward then left to find one of Odin’s Ravens perched on top of yet another crane.
Artifacts 1/1
Pull the chain on the right to raise the crane, and grapple across. Fight off the enemies, then take the ledge on the right down to find the Lyre artifact, part of the Stolen Treasures collection.
Lore 2/2
Climb back up and go left. Enter the cavern. When you reach the next crane, drop down on the right and pull the chain to lower the crane. Axe the spinner so that the crane moves left, then raise the crane. Cross then grapple to the ledge above to find the An Accursed Name Lore Marker.
Legendary Chests 1/1
Alongside the Lore Marker is a Legendary chest with Ivaldi’s Anvil heavy runic attack inside. Grapple up on the left and walk forward to pick up one half of the Fjoturlund vault key needed for the Sigrun’s Curse Favor.
Raider Stronghold, Midgard
Kol Raider Camps 1/1
The entrance to the Raider Stronghold is found on the northeast side of Tyr’s Temple. Enter and fight off the raiders. Doing so initiates the Animal Instinct Favor – eliminate the Kol Raider Camps. The three camps are marked on your map.
Legendary Chests 1/1
At the back of the stronghold is a Legendary chest containing the Cyclone of Chaos light runic attack.
Raider Fort, Midgard
Kol Raider Camps 1/1
The Raider Fort is in the west of the Lake of Nine, just south of the Lake of Nine mystic gateway. Defeat all the raiders here to progress the Animal instinct Favor.
Lore 1/1
You’ll find the Viking’s Gift Treasure Map towards the back of the camp near a makeshift wooden shelter.
Raider Keep, Midgard
Kol Raider Camps 1/1
Wipe out all the raiders at the Keep.
Raider Hideout, Midgard
Kol Raider Camps 1/1
The Raider Hideout is a cave found in the west of the Lake of Nine, between where the bridge from Tyr’s Temple meets the mainland and the ramp leading to King’s Grave. Defeating the raiders inside and the chieftain (he’ll appear at whichever camp you complete last) as part of the Animal instinct Favor grants the Token of Elemental Evasion amulet enchantment and Crackle of Bilskirnir.
Legendary Chests 1/1
Loot the Legendary chest in the Hideout for the Tartarus Rage heavy runic attack.
Nornir Chests 1/1
There’s also a Nornir chest. The first run is to the left of the chest behind some vines. Burn them and light the brazier using chained sigils and the Blades of Chaos.
The second rune is behind the golden rumble at the back of the Hideout. Pick up at bomb from the dispenser to break the rubble, then chuck another bomb at the brazier to light it.
The third is at the back of the large pit near the entrance. Fire and stack a sigil about halfway up the colum holding the brazier, then throw a bomb to ignite the rune. Loot the Nornir chest, which contains an Idunn Apple.
Leave the hideout and return to the sled to complete the Animal instinct Favor.
Shores of Nine, Midgard
Artifacts 1/1
In the bottom left-hand of the Shores of Nine is a structure (it’s just west of Tyr’s arm) with a ledge you can grapple up.
Go across the gap ahead to find the Fert artifact, part of the Stolen Treasures collection.
Guiding Light 1/1
Near the palm of Tyr’s arm is a vine. Burn it to reach the Tyr’s Right Bracer Rune Read and initiate the Guiding Light Favor. On the floor next to the rune read, there’s also the Waist Guard of Guiding Light.
A Rune Read is on Tyr’s helmet, north east of the central temple. Another Rune Read is on Tyr’s Left Bracer, right next to the main Lake of Nine mystic gateway. The final Rune Read is on Tyr’s Spear, just east of the frozen lightning bolt. These are all marked with icons on your map, so should be easy to track down. Reading all three completes the Guiding Light Favor.
Yggdrasil Rifts 1/2
Go back through the arm, then head up until you come to the building hugging the cliffs to find a Yggdrasil Rift.
Yggdrasil Rifts 2/2
Burn the vines ahead to free up the lift, then ride it up to find another Yggdrasil Rift.
The Oarsmen, Midgard
Nornir Chests 1/1
The Nornir chest is in the underground part of The Oarsmen area next to the mystic gateway. The first rune is in a small cave left of the chest.
Facing the chest, turn around, and walk a few steps forward – the second rune is on your left on a small platform.
The third rune is behind a gate to the right of the chest. You’ll need to climb up and circle around to reach the stairs leading down to the rune to clear a path. Shoot the three runes and loot the chest to get a Horn of Blood Mead.
Odin’s Ravens 1/1
From the mystic gateway, climb up the ledge on the left of the Nornir chest. Fight off the enemies above, then climb the chain. Look left and up to find one of Odin’s Ravens perched on a cliff next to a statue. Drop down and pull on the chains to clear the stairs leading down. This also progresses the Sigrun’s Curse Favor.
Artifacts 1/2
Head down and take a sharp right. Under the stairs is a hidden room with the Ankh artifact, part of the Stolen Treasure collection.
Legendary Chests 1/1
Return to the stairs, loot the Legendary chest on the right containing a Jewel of Yggdrasil Amulet Fragment.
Lore 1/1
Read The Death of Helgi Lore Marker there as well. Grab the other half of the Fjoturlund Vault Key for the Sigrun’s Curse Favor and shoot the barricade with a sonic arrow. Finally, open the gate with the Nornir chest on the other side.
Artifacts 2/2
Climb up on the left of the chest (where you did previously before clearing the stairs) to find a new secret area with a red coffin and Kvasir’s Poems – The Dead Do Not Ride artifact.
The Lost Treasury, Midgard
Sigrun’s Curse 1/1
To initiate the Sigrun’s Curse Favor, go to The Derelict Outpost and walk towards the symbol painted on the wall to the right of the gap just up from Brok’s shop. The first half of the key is in the upper part of the Outpost (check the section above dedicated to The Derelict Outpost), the second is in The Oasrmen area (check the section above for more details).
Return to The Lost Treasury. Use the Blades to shift the large shield all the way to the left. Climb up and move the large pillar into the way of the shield using the Blades.
Drop back down and move the shield right. Pull down on the lever wheel so that the gate ahead opens. Before releasing the wheel, fire a sigil then your axe at one of the round gears. Doing this will keep it frozen for longer, even without the axe. Recall the axe, then throw it at the other gear.
Legendary Chests 1/1
Dash through the open gate. Turn around and shoot the latch holding the door closed. Loot the Legendary chest ahead containing the Sigil Punishment accessory.
Sigrun’s Curse 1/1 Continued
Sigil/Blade your way through the vines and open the door with the Sigrun’s Curse Favor key. Step through and fight the Traveler Champion, one of the God of War Ragnarok mini bosses in Midgard.
Lore 1/2
Read the Love’s End Lore Marker in the same room to complete the Sigrun’s Curse favor.
Lore 2/2
Climb up the chain and jump through the floor to pick up a diagram for The Lost Pages Labor.
Nornir Chests 1/1
There’s a Nornir chest to the right at the entrance of The Lost Treasury. The first rune is above the gated doorway. Move the shield left to reveal it.
The second rune is inside – look right as you enter. Use chained sigils and the Blades to light it.
The third rune is on the roof of the treasury. Loot the chest for an Idunn Apple.
The Eternal Campfire, Midgard
Across the Realms 1/1
Pick up the glowing book near the campfire to initiate the Across the Realms Favor. The first ingredient – the Nordic Gourd – is on the left as you drop down the ledge leaving the campfire area near a yellow heart-shaped symbol on a rock.
Once you’ve collected all the ingredients, return to the campfire and interact with the pot.
Sanctuary Grove, Midgard
Nine Realms in Bloom 1/1
Follow the path down to Freya’s home from the mystic gateway. With Chaurli the giant tortoise facing you, head to the left to find the Mirkweed, a plant native to Midgard and needed to complete the God of War Ragnarok Nine Realms in Bloom Favor.
King’s Grave, Midgard
Berserker Gravestone 1/1
After defeating all the Berserker Gravestones across the nine realms return to King’s Grave for a battle with King Hrolf Kraki. Defeating him grants the Hilt of Skofnung relic.
Lake of Nine, Midgard
Berserker Gravestones 1/1
Go to the structure just east of the Lake of Nine mystic gateway. In front is a gravestone, interact with it to unlock the Fit for a King Favor and Berserker Souls throughout the Nine realms. This brings up a temporary arena and you have to defeat Fraekni The Zealous. Defeating her grants the Berserker Waist Guard and Tempered Remnants.
Artifacts 1/3
Under the bridge leading to Tyr’s Temple is a short ledge.
Hop up to find the Maya artifact, part of the Stolen Treasures collection.
Lore 1/4
Opposite the southwest edge of Tyr’s temple is a weak point in the ice.
Spear and detonate to clear a path. Beyond, you’ll find the Receipt of Purchase Lore Scroll and Mystical Heirloom relic.
Lore 2/4, 3/4, 4/4
These three Rune Reads are part of Midgard’s Guiding Light Favor in God of War Ragnarok, triggered by interacting with a lore piece at the tip of Tyr’s arm in the Shores of Nine.
The first is on Tyr’s helmet, north east of the central temple.
The second Rune Read is on Tyr’s Left Bracer, right next to the main Lake of Nine mystic gateway.
The third Rune Read is on Tyr’s Spear, just east of the frozen lightning bolt.
Legendary Chests 1/1
To the west of Tyr’s Temple and a short jog left of the Hoddmimis Holt’s lift is a weak point in the ice. Spear and detonate it to unleash a Frost Phantom. Defeating the phantom grants the Jotunheim’s Endurance amulet enchantment.
There’s a Legendary chest where the ice was. Loot it to get the Lion’s Roar Sauroter spear handle.
Artifacts 2/3
With the Raider Stronghold in front of you and Tyr’s helmet behind you, look right to find a small alcove in Tyr’s temple concealed by hanging ice.
Shatter the ice and head inside to find the Janbiya artifact, part of the Stolen Treasures collection.
Artifacts 3/3
North of the lift leading up to the Tyr’s Temple and west of the Raider Hideout, is a flight of stairs.
Head up them to find the Kila artifact, part of the Stolen Treasures collection.
Buried Treasure 1/2
The Viking’s Gift Treasure map is found on the floor towards the back of the Raider Fort camp in the east of the Lake of Nine. The treasure is found just outside the Raider Hideout in the east of the Lake of Nine.
The path leading to it is sandwiched between where the bridge from Tyr’s Temple connects with the mainland and the ramp leading up to King’s Grave. Pick up the treasure to get the Midgard’s Justice amulet enchantment.
Remnants of Asgard 1/1
After beating the God of War Ragnarok story, return to the realm of Midgard and go to the bridge leading to Tyr’s temple to find Remnants of Asgard. Defeat the enemies.
You’ll also find the To the Prison lore scroll on the left about midway across the bridge next to a stack of wooden debris.
Yggdrasil Rifts 1/1
Continue along the bridge and take a left down the flight of stairs just before the doors to the temple.
Follow the path to find an Yggdrasil Rift at the foot of the frozen lighting bolt.
Buried Treasure 2/2
The second buried treasure the Midgard realm in God of War Ragnarok is The Demise of Dagestr Treasure Map. Check out our Svartalfheim Realm Guide for all the details. To get the treasure, find the wind notch on the left of the building immediately left of the Lake of Nine mystic gateway in Midgard.
Spear and detonate the notch, then hop onto the ledge and find the treasure below the carcass. The treasure gives you supplies and the Helheim’s Force amulet enchantment.
Odin’s Ravens 1/2
In an icy underpass on the south edge of Tyr’s Temple is one of Odin’s Ravens.
Odin’s Ravens 2/2
The other one of Odin’s Ravens in the Lake of Nine is opposite the entrance to the Raider Hideout.
Draugr Hole 1/1
The Draugr Hole is on the left of the ramp leading to King’s Grave in the east of the Lake of Nine.
