God of War Ragnarok – Where to Find All Things Left Behind Artifacts

In this guide, you’ll find the location of all four artifacts needed to complete Things Left Behind in God of War Ragnarok. Unlike other lore collectibles, Things Left Behind is limited exclusively to Svartalfheim. It’s still a massive realm, but does simplify the task of finding them all.

Hreidmar’s Brassard – Things Left Behind

• Location: Aurvangar Wetlands, Svartalfheim

Dock at the second beach counting up from the Aurvangar Wetlands mystic portal in Svartalfheim. Go right to find a Nornir chest. Instead of jumping across to it, shoot the geyser on the right with the axe to freeze it then grapple up. The Hreidmar’s Brassard artifact is near a body on the floor.

Lofnheid’s Whetstone

• Location: Jarsnmida Pitmines, Svartalfheim

You can either grab this during The Quest for Tyr main path chapter or circle back later on to get it. After a rough train ride and upon reaching the Jarsnmida Pitmines, head forward down a ledge and kick down the chain ahead of you. Down by the water, next to a chest is the Lofnheid’s Whetstone, part of the Things Left Behind artifact collection.

Althjof’s Stature – Things Left Behind

• Location: The Applecore, Svartalfheim

Again, you can either grab this one during The Quest for Tyr, or return to The Applecore later one. After the log flume ride into the mines, you’ll reach Sindri’s shop. Head forward and instruct Atreus to shoot the blockage in the water channel, then freeze it with the axe. Grapple across the gap and go through the door ahead. Instruct Atreus to shoot the green glow on the wall at the back.

Pass through. Defeat the enemies ahead and take the left-hand route. Continue forward and use your Blades to stop the flow of water and trigger the mechanism. Backtrack, shooting the red pot as you go, and head to where the explosion has cleared a path. Squeeze under the water channel and fight the enemies. Open the door at the back of the area and pick up Althjof’s Stature, part of the Things Left Behind artifact collection.

Durinn’s Stone Statue

• Location: The Applecore, Svartalfheim

Once again, this one is up for grabs during The Quest for Tyr, or later on. Follow the mission path until you come across a large crack in the cave wall with a dwarf encased inside. Go through the crack.

Get Atreus to shoot the large hanging basket ahead, then grapple across. Stick right until you can grapple across a gap on your left. Do so and jump down the ledge to pick up Durinn’s Stone Statue, the last and final artifact in the Things Left Behind collection.
