God of War Ragnarok Across the Realms ingredients locations

In this guide, we’ll walk you through finding all the ingredients needed to complete the Across the Realms Favor in God of War Ragnarok.

Here is a list of the ingredients needed to complete the side quest and their location:

• Elven Cap – The Forbidden Sands, Alfheim
• Bantam Melon – The Sinkholes, Vanaheim
• Prongfruit – The Forge, Svartalfheim

How to Start the Across the Realms Favor

To kick star the quest, visit The Eternal Campfire area in Midgard – it’s just left of King’s Grave – after completing The Word of Fate main story mission. Overlooking the Lake of Nine is a campfire. Interact with the glowing recipe book next to the fire to trigger the Across the Realms favor.

From there, Kratos and Atreus are tasked with finding four ingredients scattered across Midgard, Svartalfheim, Vanaheim, and Alfheim. You’ll find these by tracking down what look like graffiti hearts painted onto rocks and walls across the realms. These are a sign that there is an ingredient nearby.

The Eternal Campfire is what we’d consider a mid-to-late-game side quest, so tread carefully as there may be spoilers below.

Nordic Gourd – Midgard ingredient

• Location: The Eternal Campfire, Midgard

The first Across the Realms ingredient – the Nordic Gourd – is on the left as you drop down the ledge leaving the campfire area. Look for the yellow heart symbol on a rock to guide you.

Elven Cap – Alfheim ingredient

• Location: The Forbidden Sands, Alfheim

In the easternmost part of The Forbidden Lands is a Nornir chest – look for the fallen column next to the rudimentary red heart symbol and pass under. To the right of the Nornir chest is the Elven Cap, one of the ingredients required for the Across the Realms Favor.

Bantam Melon – Vanaheim ingredient

• Location: The Sinkholes, Vanaheim

Head to The Sinkholes mystic gateway in The Crater area of Vanaheim. To access The Sinkholes, you’ll need to have completed the Return of the River favor. Cross the water towards the Celestial Alter, then take a left. Follow the coast up to the gate and pull the chain.

Note the orange heart symbol on the rock on your left. Hop across the water and pick up the Bantam Melon ingredient required for the Across the Realms Favor. Alternatively, you can reach it by heading up the ledge next to The Sinkholes Entrance mystic gateway and taking a left when you reach the river, or by boarding the boat at The Sinkholes Entrance mystic gateway and following the river round to the right to reach the same area.

Prongfruit – Svartalfheim ingredient

• Location: The Forge, Svartalfheim

The last ingredient, the Prongfruit, is to the left of the Nornir chest near where the train arrives in The Forge, Svartalfheim. From the Myrkr Tunnels entrance, take a right down the wooden ramp. Ahead, you’ll see a green heart symbol. Hop up the ledge on the right to find the Nornir chest.

How to make the Meal of Comfort

To complete the Favor, simply return to the Eternal Campfire and interact with the pot near the campfire. Doing so grants the Meal of Comfort reward – a permanent +5 to all stats (Strength, Defense, Runic, Vitality, Luck, and Cooldown) – and XP for both Freya and Kratos, 350 XP and 1000 XP, respectively.
