Let’s take a look at Yoimiya Talent and Ascension materials in our comprehensive levelling guide. As a Pyro DPS is a strong main DPS, able to trigger elemental reactions and fit into a ton of teams.
With a focus on her Elemental Burst and Normal Attack damage as her main source of DPS, Yoimiya doesn’t rely on using her bow for Charged Attacks. As a DPS, she is straightforward and satisfying to play if you want to see big numbers.

Yoimiya Ascension materials
Every character in Genshin Impact starts at level one by default, but you can raise their level to 90. To do so, Yoimiya needs Ascension materials at levels 20, 40, 50, 60, 70, and 80. Gathering the required materials will let you increase your level cap and continue gaining EXP.
Every character has an elemental crystal, regional speciality, enemy drop, and world boss drop that you will need to farm to Ascend. These are all the Yoimiya Ascension Materials you’ll need to farm to ascend her from Level 1 to 90:
Yoimiya Ascension Phase | Yoimiya Ascension Materials | Mora |
---|---|---|
Level 20 | x1 Agnidus Agate Sliver x3 Naku Weed, x3 Divining Scroll | 20,000 |
Level 40 | x3 Agnidus Agate Fragment, x10 Naku Weed, x15 Divining Scroll x2 Smoldering Pearl | 40,000 |

- x9 Agnidus Agate Chunk
- x6 Agnidus Agate Gemstone

World Boss Drop – Smoldering Pearl
The Smoldering Pearl material is dropped by the Pyro Hypostasis world boss. You can find this boss on an island in Inazuma, just north of the Kujou Encampment.
Beating the Pyro Hypostasis
In order to beat the Pyro Hypostasis, you should bring plenty of Cryo and Hydro characters. Using Pyro and Electro won’t get you very far, so bear this in mind.
Regional Speciality – Naku Weed
Naku Weed can be found in Inazuma, dotted over each of the islands. There is a large concentration of them on Seirai Island, as well as the land around the Narukami Shrine, north of Inazuma City. For help finding these, you can bring Gorou with you in your party, as he will mark their locations on your minimap.
Yoimiya Talent Materials
Now you’ve got all of the Ascension materials, you should focus on Yoimiya Talent Materials to improve her abilities. Levelling Talents in Genshin is massively important for improving a character’s kit, and for Yoimiya this means more DPS.
Every character has three Talents to level, increasing the stats for your Normal Attack, Skill, and Burst. To get to level 10, you will need several Talent materials and a ton of Mora. The Crown of Insight item is needed for the final rank of the Talent to ‘Crown’ your Talent.

Trounce Domain boss drop – Dragon Lord’s Crown
The key Yoimiya Talent material you need to level her talents past rank 6, you will need to grab the Dragon Lord’s Crown item. This material only drops from the Trounce Domain Beneath the Dragon-Queller. This is a fight against Azhdaha, and you will need to bring a character who can provide shields.
Yoimiya’s Kit explained
Yoimiya Talent | Effect |
---|---|
Normal Attack: Firework Flare-Up | Yoimiya shoots five consecutive arrows with her bow in a combo. Bow users like Yoimiya can also use a Charged Shot by holding down the aim button. As with every character, Yoimiya can use a Plunging Attack from mid-air. Yoimiya’s Charged Attack has two levels of charge: Level 1 fires off a flaming arrow while Level 2 will spawn three other arrows that home in on enemies. |
Elemental Skill: Niwabi Fire-Dance | Using Yoimiya’s Skill will infuse her Normal Attack with Pyro damage. Her ATK is increased during this time and the infusion lasts for 10 seconds. |
Elemental Burst: Ryuukin Saxifrage | Yoimiya leaps into the air and shoots an explosive arrow at the ground, causing AoE Pyrdo DMG and marking a target. When a character other than Yoimiya hits a marked target, an explosion will trigger dealing AoE Pyro DMG. |
First Passive: Tricks of the Trouble-Maker | During her Skill, Yoimiya’s Normal Attack will increase her Pyro DMG by 2% on hit. This can stack 10 times. |
Second Passive: Summer Night’s Dawn | Nearby party members get a 10% ATK buff after Yoimiya uses her Burst. This buff does not affect Yoimiya. |
Third Passive: Blazing Match | When crafting Decorations, Ornaments, or Landscape-type furnishings, she has a 100% chance to refund a portion of the materials used. |
