There are few more goals to score in FC 25 than a good, old-fashioned bicycle kick. Watching your play leap into the air to send the ball flying into the top corner is a sight to behold, and as a bonus, it’s a requirement every now and again for objectives in Ultimate Team. But do you actually know how to do one?
If not, then this guide is for you. We’re going to take you through what you need to know about how to perform a bicycle kick in FC 25, including the inputs and what kinds of players you need to use to do one.
How to perform a bicycle kick
First things first, the player you want to score a bicycle kick with must have the ‘Acrobat’ trait, as this is what gives them the athleticism to pull one off – you’re never going to see an Akinfenwa pull one off, are you? Many highly-rated strikers and wingers have this trait, so it shouldn’t be too hard to find someone with it.
Once you’ve got your player ready to go, you need to give them a cross or lobbed pass at a high enough height that they won’t simply volley the ball normally. Then, as the ball comes towards them, you need to press the input to perform a flair shot. This is:
- Press and hold LT and press B to shoot (Xbox)
- Press and hold L2 and press Circle to shoot (PlayStation)
Assuming you’ve done all that right, your player should leap into the air and perform the bicycle kick. Be aware that a bicycle kick is a lot less accurate than a regular header or volley, so it’s not always going to be the best choice. Sometimes, you may even perform a diving header or a scorpion kick instead, so keep an eye out for those.
