From your regular shots to power shots, chip shots to finesse shots, there are all sorts of ways to put the ball in the back of the net in FC 25. However, one type of shot that you might not know how to do is the flair shot, which comes up from time to time in Ultimate Team objectives.
So if you’ve got one of those objectives to complete and are wondering how exactly you’re supposed to do a flair shot, you’ve come to the right place. We’ll explain to you what a flair shot is, how it works, and how you can pull one off to complete those objectives in FC 25.
How to perform a flair shot
A flair shot is exactly what it sounds like; a shot some extra flair. As opposed to your typically strikes where you put your foot through the ball, flair shots can be anything from a backheel or rabona to a bicycle kick. They aren’t any better than a regular shot (if anything, they’re worse), and the only real reason you would want to use them is to style on your opponents.
To perform a flair shot, you need to:
- Hold L2 and press Circle to shoot (PlayStation)
- Hold LT and press B to shoot (Xbox)
You won’t always perform a flair shot if you’re not in the position to do so, especially if you’re not using a player with a Flair Trait. They also tend to be more inaccurate than your usual shot, so unless you’re winning by a landslide, you might want to save them for when you’re at least a couple of goals ahead
If you’re looking to perform a flair shot to complete an objective in Ultimate Team, the easiest way to do this is to play against the CPU on the lowest difficulty in Squad Battles. Go through on goal, and as the keeper comes out, square it to another forward and quickly perform a flair shot. You’ll perform a backheel or no-look shot into an open goal to complete the objective.
