Fallout London is packed with new and exciting weapons to try and use, namely ones shaped around makeshift and melee weapons due to the strict gun laws in the UK, which would likely have caused a scarcity of gun parts even after the apocalypse. Throw in Arthurian legends and the UK’s stacked history, and you have yourself some interesting combos and sights to see. Here’s a list of some early-game weapons you can get in Fallout London.
Here is our list of the top 5 early game weapons:
5. 9mm Pistol
You don’t necessarily immediately need a gun in Fallout London. In fact, you’re running around fisticuff-ing for a good while. However, there is a secret 9mm Pistol hidden inside a safe by a store counter at the end of the tutorial. The store in question is the one before the ticket gates leading to the Shard after the tutorial lab. When you escape the underground Shard lab area and enter the underground, look for the first store on the left by the ticket gate. Head for the shop clerk’s counter and pick the novice lock below the counter where you’ll find the safe. You will get the 9mm pistol and 6 rounds for it. There’s ammo knocking around the container in the lab area.
4. Bailsong
You’ll get the Bailsong after speaking to the leader of the Vagabonds once you get off the train. It dishes out a lot of damage for a fast attack weapon at 13. This is significantly better than other Switchblades you can loot. It is only two points of damage behind the cricket bat, which is a heavy and slow weapon. The Bailsong even out damages other melee weapons like boards, pipe irons, canes, and other early melee weapons. It is easily the best early-game melee weapon.
3. Quick Hair Trigger Crude Gun
When you enter Thameshaven, you’ll be given a main story quest. Proceed through the quest as normal, and when you’re done helping the Ferryman, you can loot a big red chest with a Make Shift Assault Rifle inside. Head straight from where you found the Ferryman after the Leech fight. From there, turn right into the small room with the box to get the gun along with a few rounds. Ammunition is scarce early on. But later on, you’ll come across higher-level enemies wielding this weapon, such as those around HMS Belfast and other landmarks, you can kill to farm ammunition.
2. Longsword
With the addition of the Camelot faction, players can get a Longsword early on. When you’re done with Thameshaven, go and visit the Vagabonds in the Swan and Mitre pub in the southeast of the map. When you get close to that pub, look for another one nearby with Radroaches infesting the building. You’ll find the Longsword inside the building.
1. Musket Pistol and Night Vision Crude
If you visit the HMS Belfast, which is dry-docked at the North Greenwich pier along the Thames Bridge landmark, you can enter the naval museum. Among the loot inside are rather interesting muskets. You’ll need to fight your way through the sailor enemies here as they are hostile and are the ones wielding the weapons. You can get yourself a red coat, admiral and, crew mate outfits, too. The Musket Pistol has a long reload time. However, due to engine issues with Fallout 4, players can switch weapons and cancel the reload to instantly complete it.
If you want more exotic loot, then you need to advance deeper into the bowels of the ship. When you reach the lower flooded deck, you’ll find some giant crab-type enemies, which have weak spots under their shells. Proceed through here, and you’ll eventually meet the last of the crew and the captain. There are a good few of them in that room so be very careful. Killing the captain drops the night vision version of the quick hair trigger crude gun. This grants a night vision scope on the weapon helping you see enemies at night.
