Where to find a Ripened Quince in Dragon’s Dogma 2

The first task in this quest is to obtain a Ripened Quince. This is a rare type of yellow fruit in Dragon’s Dogma 2. To obtain this item, you can travel to the western side of Battahl and search the forest marked on the map above or you can simply kill goblins around the country. Goblins have a chance to drop this fruit. If you find a normal Quince, simply rest on a bench for a day or two and it will become a ripened one.

After you bring Isaac a Ripened Quince, he will ask you to return in a few days. During this time, he will read the Grimoire he has. When you return, he will ask you to obtain the second volume of the Grimoire titled On the Transference of Souls 2.

The grimoire’s second volume can be bought from Ibrahim’s Scrap Store in the Checkpoint Rest Town for 2,000 gold.

Before gifting the books to Isaac, you can get a forgery of it made called the Transit of Souls. This books looks identical to the original but does not have the same magical powers as the first. This will alter the outcome of the quest later on.

After you get the book or its forgery, return to Isaac’s shop. From here, he will be ecstatic and run to his home where Isaac’s family is. He will then begin to read out the ritual in the book. This is where the ending changes depending on what book you gave him.

If the Arisen decides to give Isaac the real book, he will perform the ritual in front of his family. This will cause his family to turn to ash. As a reward for this ending, you’ll get the Ring of Disfavor from where his wife Esmeralda was standing. From this moment on, you won’t be able to visit Isaac at his shop anymore because it will be permanently closed. This means you won’t be able to get any more Salubrious Draughts and will instead need to craft them unless you go to another vendor.
