Wilhelmina is one of two romanceable NPCs in Dragon’s Dogma 2. As such, you should make it a priority to complete her romantic subplot. Before you can, however, you need to raise her affinity. This will get you access to the Every Rose Has Its Thorn quest which is perhaps one of the best quests in the game. Get ready, because Wilhelmina’s story is a dark path.
Raising Wilhelmina’s Affinity in Dragon’s Dogma 2
To raise affinity with Wilhelmina in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you must give her adorable and beautiful items. Visiting the Bordelrie at night will allow you to look through the peephole in her room and start the Every Rose Has Its Thorn quest. From there, you can complete Wilhelmina’s full romantic subplot.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 Wilhelmina romance guide
Wilhelmina is the operator of the Rose Chateau Bordelrie whom you will have a run-in with after an unsettling encounter during the main quest. After escaping the Vernworth Castle masquerade ball, Wilhelmina helps the Arisen hide from the guards. After this encounter, you not only earn the Myrmecoleon Card, but you also get the ability to romance Wilhelmina.
For good measure, make sure you also complete the Disa’s Plot, Unsettling Encounter, The Stolen Throne, and The Caged Magistrate quests for Captain Brant before romancing her.
Wilhelmina likes adorable items and beautiful items. If you want to romance her, you will want to bring her gifts that match these descriptions. Items that match this include gemstones, beetles, and flowers.
We recommend gifting Bunches of Flowers as this will raise Wilhelmina’s affinity by a fair amount. We only gave her four bundles and we already had maximum affinity with her. You will know if her affinity is maxed out because she will blush whenever she speaks to you.
Every Rose Has its Thorn quest walkthrough
After Wilhelmina’s affinity is maxed out, return to the Rose Chateau Bordelrie at night. When you walk up to Wilhelmina’s room, an NPC will inform you that Wilhelmina is tending to a patron. Go into her room and use the peephole that she used when you first met to spy on the next room. You will see that she is talking to none other than Allard. After the cutscene, she will meet you in her room and let you know that she wants to kill him for revenge.

To proceed with the quest, choose the option that says offer your assistance. You will have three days to gather evidence. Start by going to Vernworth Castle and heading to Sven’s Chambers, this will then lead you to Patrick who can get you the evidence required.

Make your way to Patrick’s estate in the noble quarter of Vernworth. He will offer to summon Allard so that you can get a chance to peak at his art collection. Agree to Patrick’s offer and make for Allard’s Estate.

Once inside, head up to the second floor and enter Allard’s room. Interact with the painting of the flowers and you will get the Murder Report. Afterwards, escape the estate and bring the item to Captain Brant at the Stardrop Inn.

Bring the murder report to the Proprietress of the Rose Chateau that you have grown fond of. She will then state that she plans on murdering Allard. Tell her you plan to continue offering your aid. A cutscene will play out after entering the room with Allard and restraining him. Afterwards, you will make your escape with the help of Captain Brant.
After the escape, pass the time by one day and head back to the brothel at night to speak with Wilhelmina. Your romance with Wilhelmina will finally come to pass and bring the questline to a close. After the quest is over, Wilhelmina will leave. She can appear again as your beloved while trying to get the true ending to the game.
