Ulrika and Wilhelmina are the primary romance options in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Because of this, you will need to choose between these two if you want to have a romance option in the game. Every other NPC has an affinity bar that will raise but they won’t offer any important questlines other than friendly jaunts.

Ulrika is the better option

Ulrika offers a longer questline that more closely ties into the main story of Dragon’s Dogma 2. Because of this, we consider her romance to be the better option. You can, however, romance both characters if you would like and are not bound to a single romanctic experience.

Is it better to romance Ulrika or Wilhelmina in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

We believe that it is better to romance Ulrika. This is because her story naturally follows part of the Arisen’s and spans a good chunk of the map, allowing you to continue her quest for a long time. Her story also comes to a more satisfying conclusion than Wilhelmina’s. What exactly are the differences, however, and how do you romance each of them?

Romancing Ulrika in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Ulrika likes adorable and beautiful items. Thanks to this, you can easily raise her affinity by giving her bundles of flowers as you explore the kingdoms of Vermund and Battahl. You will first meet Ulrika in Melve. After this, she will move on to Harve. This happens during the Readvent of Calamity quest.

Ulrika’s quest line consists of three quests: Readvent of Calamity, Home is Where the Hearth is, and Trouble on the Cape. Once you complete all of these quests, you have completed Ulrika’s story. Now it is time to seal the deal with Ulrika as a romantic prospect. Go to the dock in Harve to meet up with Ulrika and have your romantic scene.

Romancing Wilhelmina in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Wilhelmina is a bit easier to romance. First, you will run into this non-Pawn character during the Stolen Throne and Unsettling Encounter quests where she helps you escape from the masquerade in Vernworth. After that, you can start showering her with gifts such as flowers and gemstones to raise her affinity.

Wilhelmina’s only quest is called Every Rose Has Its Thorn. During this quest, you help the proprietress of the Rose Chateau get revenge on Allard. After this quest, Wilhelmina disappears for a long time so enjoy the romance while it lasts.
