Does Assassin’s Creed Mirage use Denuvo?

According to the PCGamingWiki, Assassin’s Creed Mirage does in fact have Denuvo. All Ubisoft games require Ubisoft Connect, Denuvo Anti-tamper and VMProtect DRM just as a baseline. This means that if you’re playing on PC, whether you get the game through Epic or Ubisoft directly, you’ll have to deal with Denuvo.

What is Denuvo?

Denuvo is an DRM and Anti-cheat software. This is a software that publishers will require players to have installed in order to prevent cheating and piracy of the game. That being said, players have had negative experiences while using Denuvo. Many believe that Denuvo is a very anti-consumer piece of software because it has heavy performance impacts on systems.

While higher end computers should be able to power through those performance hits, low and mid tier systems may struggle will delivering a decent gaming experience because of this. Players also feel that this is an unnecessary addition to their games, particularly because in the past, games that had Denuvo active were still able to be cracked and pirated.
