What is the Assassin’s Creed Mirage map size? The brand new entry in the series is upon us and the map size has been a topic of contention in the past. So today, we’re going to explore how big the AC Mirage map size actually is.

In the meantime, check out our other Assassin’s Creed Mirage guides, such as if you can play Assassin’s Creed Mirage on Mac, if AC Mirage is available on the Steam Deck, or if Assassin’s Creed Mirage can be played via Game Pass.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Map

According to the developers when asked by YouTube channel Easy Allies, the map in Assassin’s Creed Mirage is similar to the Paris map from Assassin’s Creed Unity, or the Constantinople map from Assassin’s Creed Revelations. We corroborated these claims in our own review of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and while this might sound small, there’s a lot to explore on this map. We’ve tested, and it took us exactly 10 minutes and 22 seconds to get from the northernmost tip of the map to the south-eastern edge of the map if you travel on a camel through the Wilderness and avoid going through the city.

AC Mirage map size - central map

The map is taller than it is wide and can be broken up into three distinct sections from the map screen, North, Central and South. While there are outposts and whatnot dotted across the landscape of the map to keep you busy, there is a lot of desert and open ground to cover as well. The map does have a lot of verticality to it, especially in towns and cities. The central map has one of the main cities, Round City, which acts as a central hub for accessing the rest of the world.

This is a stark change in comparison to the massive 80+ square kilometre maps we’ve seen in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. While those maps were incredibly stunning visually, they were often too distracting and took away from the gameplay overall. Now don’t get us wrong, the map in Assassin’s Creed Mirage is still stunning, but it’s definitely a much more manageable and enjoyable size to play through. If you wanted to travel through the city in a straight line from north to south, you’d be looking at well upwards of 20 minutes to get across the entire area.
