Ubisoft has revealed their plans of taking in-game immersion to the next level by partnering with gaming company OWO to create an Assassin’s Creed Mirage-themed haptic suit. This highly advanced piece of gear will apparently allow you to feel what protagonist Basim feels as he ventures his way through the sprawling city of Baghdad in the upcoming series installment.

According to OWO’s official page, though, it seems this edition of their haptic gaming system doesn’t have a concrete launch window just yet, though it’ll most likely be made available once the Assassin’s Creed Mirage release date rolls around towards the end of the year. However, they have disclosed the contents that’ll be coming with every purchase, which includes an OWO haptic skin, an OWO device, 20 gel pads, a charging cable, a storage pouch, and a game code.

Now, if you ever decide to purchase it and put this masochistic piece of clothing on, it seems you’ll have the chance to experience a number of pleasant and painful sensations once you’ve connected it to the game. This includes both dagger and abdominal wounds, gun shot impacts, collisions with heavy objects, and many more. But if the agony of getting hit by an axe repeatedly gets to be too much, then you’ll apparently be able to limit the pain by modifying each sensation through the OWO app.

Of course, since this is an exceedingly sophisticated piece of futuristic tech, its price will predictably be steep as a standard version of OWO’s haptic gaming suit is currently being sold for €499, meaning the Assassin’s Creed Mirage variant may also be sold at the same price, if not more. Nevertheless, hardcore fans of Ubisoft’s stealthy adventure series who have always wanted to know what it feels like to be an assassin will surely be tempted to purchase this limited edition haptic suit, no matter what the cost is.
