How to download the Diablo 4 server slam beta on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One

For the Server Slam beta, the instructions are simple – just head to the Xbox Marketplace – and then the option to Search. In the search box, type in ‘Diablo IV server slam’ – and the tile should appear with the name of the game. Otherwise, press the Menu button (the one with three lines on) to see the full results, and the tile should appear there with a ‘Free’ next to it, to show you’ve got the right beta.

Click the tile, and that will take you to the page below. Simply click ‘Get’ and you’ll start downloading – but be aware you’ll need at least 92.6GB of free space on your console on Xbox Series X for the beta. While you’re waiting, it might be worth checking in on some useful early game knowledge, like a list of the Fractured Peaks waypoints, for example.

If you were already in the game’s previous Open Beta and haven’t deleted that client from your console’s hard drive then you’re in luck as you won’t need to download it again. If you’ve kept it on your console’s storage, you’ll get a title update which will transform it into the Server Slam beta.

You shouldn’t need an active Xbox Live subscription for the beta – but it looks like you will need it for the full game.

The Diablo 4 Server Slam beta starts on May 12 and continues until May 14. Diablo 4 then will release in full on June 6, 2023.
