To upgrade the full suit to the next available in Dead Space Remake, visit any store on the Ishimura. In the store inventory, youā€™ll see the suit upgrade, if one is available. Besides the Level 1 and Level 2 suits, youā€™ll need to find and loot schematics peppered around the USG Ishimura before they appear in the store.

Here, youā€™ll find the location of all six suit level upgrades on the Ishimura.

Suit Level 1 ā€“ Standard Engineer RIG

This is Isaacā€™s default RIG suit. Itā€™s unlocked automatically when you start Dead Space Remake.

Suit Level 2 ā€“ Standard Miner RIG

The Level 2 Suit, which expands your inventory capacity to 18 slots and boosts armor by 5%, is available from the first shop you come across during Chapter 1 ā€“ New Arrivals.

During the Get to the Medical Deck objective, ride the elevator and step out to find the store straight ahead. The suit doesnā€™t require a schematic and costs 10,000 Credits ā€“ an amount youā€™ll have amassed easily by then with a bit of looting.

Suit Level 3 ā€“ Intermediate Engineer RIG

The Level 3 Suit appears during Chapter 3 ā€“ Obliteration Imminent. During the Reroute Power from Water Purification objective, take the Exterior Access corridor and enter the EVA Prep Room to find the upgrade straight ahead. Upgrading to Level 3 costs 20,000 Credits, boosting Isaacā€™s inventory space to 22 and increasing armor by 10%

Suit Level 4 ā€“ Intermediate Miner RIG

The Level 4 Suit is found during Chapter 7 ā€“ Into the Void. Progress through the chapter until you talk with Nicole, then head into the Equipment Workshop to get the Level 4 Suit. Upgrading costs 35,000 Credits and increases inventory capacity to 26 and armor by 15%.

Suit Level 5 ā€“ Advanced Engineering RIG

The Level 5 Suit is obtained during Chapter 10 ā€“ End of Days. Continue through the chapter until you reach the Crew Quarters. As you search for the Crew Deck key, head across the open space to find a room containing the suit upgrade. Upgrading at the store costs 60,000 Credits but ups inventory capacity to a roomy 30 and armor by 20%.

Suit Level 6 ā€“ Advanced Soldier RIG

The final suit upgrade, Level 6, is only available after beating the game and starting a new playthrough in New Game +. Visit the first store you come across during Chapter 1 ā€“ New Arrivals as you make your way to the Medical Deck. Upgrading costs 99,000 Credits and increases armor by 30%.

Upgrading Suit Stats at a Nano-Circuit Repair Bench In Dead Space Remake

Dead Space Remake - How to Upgrade the Suit

Full suit level upgrades are only one aspect of improving Isaacā€™s suit in Dead Space Remake. At any Nano-Circuit Repair Bench scattered across the USG Ishimura, you can upgrade individual suit stats ā€“ Health, Damage, Oxygen, Stasis Zone Size, Stasis Energy, Stasis Duration, and more.

Youā€™ll need power nodes to upgrade the suit at the bench, with each upgrade costing one power node. You can pick these up throughout the USG Ishimura by opening and looting glass-doored wall lockers. Alternatively, you can buy power nodes at the store for 10,000 Credits. Note that you can only unlock a node if itā€™s adjacent to one thatā€™s already been unlocked.
