We’re putting an emphasis on “largely” here because the revamped EA creation now has a new ending that players will be able to unlock. If you’re having trouble finding out how to access this alternative conclusion, then we’ve got you covered.

Here’s how you can get the new ending in the Dead Space remake.

How to Unlock the New Ending in Dead Space Remake?

In order to get the new ending, you will first need to finish a single playthrough of the entire game. The difficulty you choose doesn’t matter here so you can even select Story to complete it as fast as possible. After you’ve finished it, you’ll be able to unlock New Game Plus, which lets you use all of the goodies you’ve gathered from your previous run.

With New Game Plus now unlocked, you’ll need to start another playthrough under this game mode. Again, the difficulty doesn’t really matter here so you can go with the one that you prefer. Once you’ve returned to the USG Ishimura, you will have to collect a total of 12 Marker Fragments scattered throughout the mining ship.

As soon as you’ve successfully collected all 12 Marker Fragments, you can head straight to the Captain’s Quarters on the third floor. You will then need to inspect the unsettling shrine found within in order to place all of the fragments you’ve found. Afterwards, you’ll simply need to go through the rest of the story and the new ending will play as soon as you’ve finished it.
