In the early hours of Dead Space Remake, Isaac is tasked with fixing the tram. But as these things often go, the game makes it a little challenging to know what to do. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to replace the damaged tram in Dead Space Remake and get on with your visit through the USG Ishimura.

How to Replace the Damaged Tram in Dead Space Remake

Progress through Chapter 1 – New Arrivals until you reach the tram repair room, picking up the Stasis module on the way. The module is crucial to solving the puzzle here.

Interact with the screen in the middle of the gangway to open the doors and load in the tram. Head left and interact with the screen there to engage the first claw. Head down the gangway again, past the central screen, and to the one on the far right. A couple of enemies spawn as you do this, so be prepared.

Interact with the screen to engage the second claw. A malfunction retracts the claw. Use Stasis on the claw once it’s attached to the tram, then run back and interact with the central screen. Doing so pulls the damaged tram car towards you. If you don’t nail it the first time and run out of Stasis juice, there’s a charging station behind the center screen.

As the system replaces the damaged tram car, watch out for another bunch of enemies. As always, aim for the limbs and follow up with a stomp. Once Isaac confirms the tram replacement over the radio, follow the locator path back to the Tram Control Room, using Stasis on the malfunctioning door as you did before. Call the tram to access the main decks.
