After wrapping up the Bishop Takes Rook mission in the Campaign, you’ll visit the Bulgarian safehouse known as Rook for the first time. There, you’ll start missions and upgrade the facilities with cash to snap up some useful combat perks. But, if you explore the stately mansion’s ground floor, you’ll also come across a Blacklight and a piano. If you interact with the piano, you’ll notice that there are symbols etched above the keys, suggesting there’s a bit more to it than meets the eye. It’s the first of a series of safehouse puzzles that ultimately get you a safe code. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the Black Ops 6 piano puzzle solution.

How to solve the Black Ops 6 piano puzzle

Before solving the puzzle, make sure you pick up the Blacklight on the table right next to the piano. It’s used to highlight hidden clues throughout the safehouse. Turn on the Blacklight (the 4 key on PC), then interact with the piano. Shine the light on the strip of wood above the keys and you’ll see a set of Cyrillic letters and symbols – one for each key.

Leave the piano and shine the Blacklight directly above the piano where you’ll spot a symbol next to the number 1 on the wall along with an arrow pointing right. By making your way clockwise around the room, you’ll find a sequence of five symbols, which match up to the ones you just saw on the piano itself. They are all numbered, indicating a sequence.

As above, the first symbol is above the piano. The second is above the fireplace just below the water buffalo trophy mounted on the wall. The third symbol is above the door leading onto the balcony to the right of the fireplace. The fourth is above the other door leading to the outside. The fifth and final symbol is on the wood panelling just to the right of the fourth symbol. Check the gallery above for their exact locations.

Once you’ve found all the symbols and, more importantly, established the right order, head back over to the piano. You’ll need to play the notes on the piano in the order they appear in the room to solve the puzzle, as follows:

  • Ми
  • Рe
  • Cи
  • До
  • Pe

To make it easier to solve, check the image above where we’ve marked the right order with numbers. If you’re playing on PC, each piano key is marked with a number you tap on your keyboard to play that note. The order for those is 5, 4, 2, 3, 4.

Key in the right notes and you’ll unlock a hidden door next to the piano that leads down to the basement, where you’ll find further puzzles you’ll need to solve, including a locked door along with radio and lockpicking puzzles.
