In keeping with Call of Duty tradition, we’re more or less guaranteed double XP weekends for Black Ops 6. These let players jump into matches and earn twice as much XP as usual, helping with level progression and, more importantly, earning those coveted Level Unlock rewards and Prestige levels. Per the way the progression system works in the post-Cold War shooter, the double XP boost should apply to Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone modes. Below, you’ll find everything we know so far about the next Black Ops 6 double XP weekend.
When is the next Call of Duty double XP weekend?
Currently, there is no active XP weekend in Black Ops 6. The previous prolonged event celebrated the Zombies mode and took place between January 15 and 21. We will keep an eye and update this space when news of the next Double XP weekend crops up. When that happens, players can expect to get plenty of boosts during the period, including:
- Double Player XP earning rate
- Double Weapon XP earning rate
- Double GobbleGum earning rate
That means that you can earn the double XP in all game modes, including Multiplayer, Warzone, and Zombies. Also, bear in mind that these boosts are weekend-wide, so you won’t need to pop any Double XP Tokens – the boost remains active throughout the allotted time.
How to participate in double XP weekends
To take part in a double XP weekend and earn that sweet extra experience, all you need to do is log in and play matches in eligible modes, which will be listed in-game during the event. Developer Treyarch will automatically apply the bonus for all players that load in during the weekend and apply it to each eligible player’s account.
If you’re sitting on Double XP tokens or codes earned from promos, it’s likely you won’t be able to use these during a double XP weekend and stack the earning bonuses. At least, that was the case in previous years so we expect very much the same policy with Black Ops 6. You’re, therefore, better off using these on regular days as and when you need a boost instead.
