The Zombies mode in Black Ops 6 will test your ability to weather the undead hordes. Whether solo or with friends, you will have to do everything to survive and extract. Along the way, you can get better weapons and other upgrades, like Gobblegums, but the strongest stuff takes a bit of effort and luck. If you can get your hands on a couple of Loot Keys, that could help turn the tide in your favour. So without further ado, we’ll explain how to get loot keys and what to use them for in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
How to get Loot Keys in Black Ops 6 Zombies
Loot Keys are fairly simple to get – they are a random drop from Special and Elite enemies in Zombies mode. You’ll recognize them by their unique appearance, tons of health, and high damage if they get you. Here’s what to be on the lookout for:
Enemy name | Map it can spawn on | Minimum round to spawn |
---|---|---|
Mangler | Liberty Falls Terminus | Round 11 |
Abomination | Liberty Falls | Round 16 |
Amalgam | Terminus | Round 16 |
Each of these enemies has a high chance of dropping a Loot Key once you defeat them. The keys come in several rarities and it’s random which rarity you’ll get when killing them. The rarity of the key governs which rarity of loot you can get once you use them. Loot Keys can be:
- Uncommon
- Rare
- Epic
- Legendary
Don’t forget to pick up the Loot Keys off the ground.
Where to use Loot Keys?
Both Zombies maps have specific areas where you can use the Loot Key:
- On the Liberty Falls map, you can use the key on Safe Deposit Boxies within the Bank Vault.
- On the Terminus map, you can use the key on Lockers inside the Armory.
Using a Loot Key in both cases can get you a new item, like weapons of rarity up to the key’s rarity, killstreaks, and other equipment. Keep in mind that if you use a Legendary Loot Key, that doesn’t guarantee that you’ll get a Legendary weapon. It just gives you a good chance of getting it.
Liberty Falls
You will have to open a couple of energy gates to get to the Bank’s main entrance. From there, locate the three Post-it notes with numbers. They can be found in the Bank, Olly’s Comic Shop, and the Bowling Alley, respectively. Combining them gives you the Vault code. After that, enter the Vault and interact with the Safe Deposit boxes to use the Loot Key and get a reward.
Terminus
The Armory is located very close to the initial spawn point – just outside to the left, accessed from the balcony. However, you can’t enter before you reactivate the power in the prison. After doing that, return to the Armory and use the Loot Key on the lockers to get the reward.
