Looking for all the Assassin’s Creed Shadows Iron Hand Guild locations? After wrapping up The Golden Teppo quest line, head back to Imai Sokun in Sakai to pick up this fresh quest. It involves tracking down the members of a shady merchant syndicate led by the enigmatic titular Iron Hand that’s trying to take over the Imai clan’s business interests to gain influence.
In a twist on the typical go-in-and-kill approach of most quests, you’re actively encouraged to spare the targets in the Iron Hand Guild. You won’t fail the quest if you do kill them. You’ll also receive the same rewards either way, but Sokun is happier with a peaceful approach.
This can be done by finding intel and completing mini-quests tied to each target and by grabbing and knocking them instead of assassinating them. In this guide, we’ll walk you through where to find all of the Iron Hand Guild targets in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Merchant Tamao
- Location – Kyoto, Yamashiro
You’ll find Merchant Tamao in a warehouse directly west of the Honpoji Temple in Kyoto in Yamashiro. Break the jars to draw his attention and get him to leave the warehouse. If you aren’t fussed about sparing him then go ahead and kill him. Otherwise, hide and wait for him to stop searching then grab and knock him out.

Merchant Kanta
- Location – Otsu, Mouth of Seta, Omi
You’ll find Merchant Kanta in the Rice Shipyard in Otsu in the Mouth of Seta sub-region in the west of the Omi province. But, if you want to go the pacifist route, you’ll want to head to his house in the north of the Otsu Upper District. Infiltrate his house and grab the document on the desk for new info on the Iron Hand. There’s also the option to take on the Missing Ship quest in Lake Biwa, find the document, and speak to Kanta, though this isn’t strictly necessary.

Merchant Kin-no-suke
- Location – Obama, Wakasa
You’ll find Merchant Kin-no-suke all the way in the very north of the map in the town of Obama in the Wakasa province. He hangs around east of the Trading Port portion of the town. You’ll want to get rid of the three guards that shadow him then go in for an assassination.

If you prefer the non-lethal route, you can take on the Dirty Dealing quest. This sends you to a small enemy camp in the north of Onyu Pass in Wakasa, southwest of Kumagawa Juki. Check the images above for the exact location. Grab the document in the camp to trigger the Trading Pass quest. Hand over the bandit letter to Kin-no-suke in Obama then grab the letter from the warehouse.

Merchant Ginroku
- Location – Miyazu Bay, Tamba
You’ll find Merchant Ginroku all the way up in the northwestern corner of the map in the town of Miyazu Bay in the sub-region of the same name in the Tamba province. He’s in the north of the town, just west of the Miyazu Castle and the river. Approach from behind, grab, and then knock him out for details on where the Iron Hand is hiding out.

Iron Hand
- Location – Fukuchiyama Castle, Fukuchiyama, Tamba
Last but not least, the Iron Hand is parked in Fukuchiyama Castle in the north central sub-region of Fukuchiyama in the Tamba province. He’s standing outside on a balcony in the gardens on the southeastern side of the castle. Approach from behind and assassinate him.
Make your way back to Imai Sokun in Sakai. This will wrap up the Iron Hand Guild quest. You’ll earn 5000 XP, x1 Gold, the Damage for Alerted Provinces Engraving, and the Fujin’s Tempest Legendary Trinket for the trouble.
