You’ll visit the Gansenji Temple as part of The Fatherless Monk quest, or possibly organically as you explore in the early hours of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. It’s tucked away in the very far southwestern corner of Izumi Settsu, south of the bustling port of Sakai. After you’ve helped Kyonko clear out the attackers and learned of the one-earned demon, you can then explore the temple freely before setting off on your search for Wada Koretake, one of the Onryo.

To complete the Gansenji Temple area, you’ll need to find two Lost Pages scattered around the grounds, similar to those in the Tennoji Temple and Makinoodera Temple. In this guide, we’ll walk you through where to find all the Lost Pages in the Gansenji Temple in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Don’t hesitate to use Naoe’s Observe skill to help track them down and mark them with a blue orb.

Lost Pages 1

To find the first page, head through the entrance to the temple and take a right. Go past the fountain under the wooden shelter and you’ll spot a large rock planted into the ground. The Lost Page is hidden behind the rock on a small table.

Lost Pages 2

To get to the second page, climb on to the roof of the main temple building on the southern side of the grounds using the grappling hook. Once up there, climb to the very top of the structure and you’ll find a wooden ledge built into the roof, presumably there for repairs. The Lost Page is resting on the ledge alongside a box of tools and a bucket.

Finding both Lost Pages will mark the Gansenji Temple as complete, earning you 500 XP and a Knowledge Point that will go towards unlocking Knowledge Ranks, which in turn unblock new tiers in the skill trees.
