What engine does AC Mirage use? With Assassin’s Creed Mirage being the most up-to-date version of the series, you might be wondering how Ubisoft has decided to build the game and if we can expect to see any huge graphical or animation differences in Mirage compared to the likes of AC Valhalla and Odyssey.

We reviewed Assassin’s Creed Mirage, so check that out to get our thoughts on everything the game has to offer. With these advanced visuals, you can expect the AC Mirage PS5 and Xbox Series X release to look their best. So, if you want to know the source of these beautiful graphics, we’ve got you covered.

What engine was Assassin’s Creed Mirage made on?

As expected, Assassin’s Creed Mirage has been built using Ubisoft Anvil. Historically, Ubisoft has made every mainline Assassin’s Creed game with Anvil, so it makes sense it would use the same engine to build AC Mirage. Up until 2020, Ubisoft’s game engine, Anvil, was named Scimitar. Scimitar was used to create the very first Assassin’s Creed game by Ubisoft. Since then, Ubisoft has continued to make improvements to the engine, with better lighting, animations, graphics, and so much more.

Since Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the latest game, we can expect to see the latest build of Anvil, which should hopefully shine on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and on PC. With this in mind, we can expect some stunning and cinematic graphics for Assassin’s Creed Mirage when it comes out.

That covers all you need to know about the AC Mirage engine. For more information about Assassin’s Creed Mirage, check out our guides on where AC Mirage is set, if AC Mirage is on Steam, and the size of the map in Assassin’s Creed Mirage to learn more about the game.
