Modern Warfare 2 has not disappointed fans with its variety of cosmetic items available to choose from, something that will surely keep the game enjoyable for a more extended period of time for fans.

One specific cosmetic category is Blueprints, which are essentially alternative versions of weapons that already have a base model available in the game. The variation that these variants provide includes both a different skin as well as unique attachments. The Side Impact is one such Blueprint, namely for the X13 Auto, that was given to players as a reward for reaching a specific goal in the open beta that came before the game’s full release.

What is the Side Impact Blueprint

As previously mentioned, the Side Impact changes how the X13 Auto looks, adding a sleek green stripe to the base weapon’s design that would aesthetically appeal to many players. It also adds functionality as it comes with its own set of attachments: a unique sight, underbarrel grip, and stock.

Although these attachments are convenient, they are not exclusive to the Side Impact. This is because the attachments can be acquired for the base weapon after grinding and leveling up the gun. With that said, getting the Side Impact can cut this process down entirely and give you a powerful weapon to work with very early in the game.

How Can You Unlock The Side Impact Blueprint

The unfortunate news is that currently, no alternative method of acquiring the Side Impact Blueprint exists. It was a reward exclusive to the beta of the game, specifically for reaching Operator level 15 during that time. Now that the beta has ended and the game has been fully released, these rewards are no longer available.

There is no indication currently in-game that would hint at a possible return of these rewards or at them being made available for purchase in the future. Though no hard-set precedent exists for the return of rewards such as these somewhere down the line in this game’s lifespan, it is not something that is entirely unheard of in the Call of Duty franchise. However, we can only wait and see what the future holds for the availability of the Side Impact Blueprint.

Final Thoughts

The Side Impact Blueprint isn’t available anymore, and there’s no word from Activision either on whether it will ever be brought back. With that said, there are various other Blueprints that you can claim for the time being. Let us know what other Modern Warfare 2 guides you want us to cover!
