We are less than a month away from the launch of WWE 2K26 early access on March 6, followed by the full release on March 13. Naturally, 2K has started showing much more of the game online to build hype. The developer has begun revealing entrances, and Blake Monroe has responded positively to her spectacular in-game entrance.
Blake Monroe is one of several new NXT additions to the WWE 2K26 roster, alongside Ricky Saints and Myles Borne. Her WWE 2K26 entrance was shared on the official WWEGames X account on February 8, and it is a near-flawless recreation of her real-life entrance seen almost every week on NXT.
Her character model also looks fantastic, featuring more realistic hair thanks to the series finally ditching last-gen support for PS4 and Xbox One to fully take advantage of the power of PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Many fans have responded positively to the entrance, and Blake Monroe herself has done the same, which is welcome news for the development team after receiving criticism from Jade Cargill over her outdated in-game appearance.
Replying to the reveal, Blake Monroe posted, “Everything’s clicking”. In two other posts on X, she added, “I gave you the recipe and you COOKED,” as well as, “My dreams come true”. She also retweeted several posts highlighting impressive side-by-side comparisons between her real-life entrance and its in-game counterpart.
WWEGames has also revealed the entrance for Dominik Mysterio, showcasing his fully updated neck tattoo. It’s a tradition for 2K to reveal new entrances almost every day leading up to the game’s release, so we eagerly await who will be next.
Beyond improved visuals and entrances, WWE 2K26 is adding four new match types, a new story for The Island, and several improvements to core modes such as MyGM and Universe. The developer has also recently explained its new battle pass model for DLC, though we are worried that the new Ringside Pass system has the hallmarks of a predatory battle pass.
Despite our concerns surrounding the Ringside Pass, WWE 2K26 is shaping up nicely. While the addition of Blake Monroe is excellent, you should expect even more new faces, including AJ Lee and Mr. Iguana from Lucha Libre promotion AAA, as well as former AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo.
