The WWE 2K26 release date has reportedly leaked for March 13. This comes courtesy of reliable leaker billbil_kun via Dealabs, a source known for regularly and accurately leaking the monthly PS Plus lineup. While the release date has potentially been revealed, questions remain about the game’s supported platforms, as billbil_kun is not certain whether WWE 2K26 will launch on PS4 and Xbox One.
According to billbil_kun, WWE 2K26 is set to launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. Although March 13 is listed as the release date, early access is a possibility. WWE 2K25 launched on March 14, with early access beginning on March 7 if you pre-ordered either the Deadman or Bloodline edition. WWE 2K24 also featured early access, though it was limited to three days instead of seven.
As of this writing, 2K has announced three editions of WWE 2K26 that evoke the feeling of WWE ’13. These are the Monday Night War Edition, Attitude Era Edition, and King of Kings Deluxe Edition. The Standard Edition cover star will officially be revealed on January 30, though it has already leaked as CM Punk.

Pre-orders for WWE 2K26 will also begin on January 30. Billbil_kun has not revealed pricing beyond the Standard Edition for $70. Once pre-orders go live, it will be interesting to see whether early access is included with the Digital Deluxe Edition, fronted by Triple H, or if 2K restricts it to the more expensive Attitude Era and Monday Night War editions.
Based on the revealed cover arts, we can confirm the following wrestlers for the WWE 2K26 roster:
- Stone Cold Steve Austin
- The Rock
- Triple H
- Chyna
- Shawn Michaels
- Kane
- The Undertaker
- The Dudley Boyz
- Lita
- Trish Stratus
- Hulk Hogan
- Kevin Nash
- Scott Hall
- Eric Bischoff
- Goldberg
- Booker T
Notably absent from the cover art is Mick Foley, despite his major role during the Attitude Era. Mick Foley’s inclusion in WWE 2K26 remains uncertain, as he has told fans he is not extending his Legends contract beyond June 2026. Although not official, his absence from all covers could suggest he is not part of the roster.
WWE 2K26 PS4 and Xbox One release remains uncertain
While the game is confirmed for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2, billbil_kun notes that “there is still uncertainty about a possible release on PS4 and Xbox One, [as] we have not identified any metadata linking WWE 2K26 to these platforms”.
Since the launch of the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2020, WWE games have continued to support last-generation consoles. Titles from WWE 2K22 through WWE 2K25 launched on both PS4 and PS5, as well as Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, with cross-gen bundles typically included in Deluxe editions.
While a last-gen release remains possible, dropping PS4 and Xbox One support feels increasingly overdue. Continued support for older hardware has held the WWE 2K series back, and moving to a current-gen-only approach could finally allow the franchise to reach its full potential.
A current-gen-only release would allow 2K to deliver significantly better graphics and more expansive game modes without the limitations imposed by needing to support outdated hardware. That said, it is not yet official that WWE 2K26 will drop PS4 and Xbox One support, but we should officially find out on January 30.
Although only cover art and editions have been revealed so far, WWE 2K26 is shaping up well if leaks prove accurate. CM Punk is reportedly the star of the game’s Showcase Mode, and additional leaks point to four new match types, including the return of Inferno and I Quit matches.
The roster is also poised to be the biggest and best yet. 2K has teased several new NXT additions, including Blake Monroe and Zaria, while AAA stars such as El Hijo del Vikingo have hinted at receiving character scans.
