Samsungs latest OLED TV has been realesed. As with all new OLED screens, people are wondering if the S95C is bright enough, we’re going to answer that question right now.
The S95C is a brand new high-spec TV from Samsung, a successor to the hugely popular S95B, which was one of the best TVs for gaming, on both the Xbox Series X and PS5.
The good news is that the S95C has only improved the formula, including increasing its brightness versus the S95B.
Brightness can be an area that OLED TVs struggle with, especially compared to their LCD counterparts. This is generally considered to be the one fly in the OLED ointment, as these screens have incredible contrast and crisp, detailed displays.
The good news is that we reckon the S95C is bright enough, let’s get into why.
Is the S95C bright enough?
Put simply the S95C is easily one of the brightest OLED TV screens ever released. TechRadar measures the screen at 1,374 nits in Filmmaker mode far exceeding the crucial 1000 nits needed for a good HDR performance.
Samsung has also introduced a brand new feature: Quantum HDR OLED Plus. This uses deep learning algorithms to adjust brightness levels per pixel, with incredible precision. This makes for a brighter overall display.
All of this is backed up by excellent contrast, good colour accuracy and consistent brightness from a wide range of angles. Making the S95C an even sweeter deal.
