Generally, you want a TV that is going to accommodate to the room that it’s in. There’s no point having a 75″ TV on your bedroom desk, nor does a 42″ TV belong in your home cinema. Really though, the choice is yours.

Do I need HDMI 2.1 for 4K Gaming on PS5?

No – but without HDMI 2.1, you will be limited to 60Hz in 4K as HDMI 2.0 does not officially support display past 60Hz. If your TV is limited to HDMI 2.0 you can still enjoy 4K resolution.

Do I need HDMI 2.1 for 4K Gaming on Xbox Series X?

No – 4K works on Xbox Series X with HDMI 2.0, though to run it at 120Hz you need to ensure you have HDMI 2.1 capabilities on your TV.
