We’re comparing the OnePlus 11 vs Pixel 7 Pro, to find out which phone is best for you.

The OnePlus 11 will launch on February 7th, succeeding the popular OnePlus 10 Pro that was released in January last year. We expect improved camera optics thanks to Hasselblad, combined with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Processor. If you’re interested in how the flagship chipset compares to its predecessor, we’ve discussed the key differences you should know.

And what about Google’s current flagship phone? The Pixel 7 Pro has continued to make waves since its release several months ago. There’s some speculation around the incoming release of the Google Pixel 7a that’s worth keeping an eye on. For now, though, all eyes are on the Pixel 7 Pro which boasts one of the most impressive smartphone cameras on the market. Amongst other winning features, the Google 7 Pro looks like some tough competition for the One Plus 11.

You may be weighing up which phone to go for, and how it matches up to what your main usage will be – whether that be for everyday browsing, watching content, or even gaming.

So we’re going to make things a little easier, by comparing what we think are the key comparison areas between the OnePlus 11 and Google Pixel 7 Pro. We’ll look at everything from specs to features, and even design and value for money, so you can make an informed choice.

So, let’s get stuck in! Here are the differences and similarities between OnePlus 11 and Google Pixel 7 Pro.

We’re pretty impressed with both sets of specs for these phones, though the OnePlus 11 potentially has the edge.

We’ll start by discussing the similarities. Both flagship phones share the same 120Hz refresh rate. This means you can expect an ultra-smooth display, with minimal motion blurring.

They also both share a large display of 6.7 inches, sitting perfectly between the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra at 6.8 inches, and the S23 Plus at 6.6 inches.

A notable point of divulgence falls in their difference in chipsets. The OnePlus 11 sports the powerful new Snapdragon Gen 2 that supports faster rates of streaming and ray tracing, which is big news if you’re into mobile gaming. It certainly pulls ahead of Google’s Tensor G2, though they’re both fairly matched in terms of battery efficiency.

Though both flagships share the same size battery, OnePlus 11 pulls ahead thanks to its rapid charging speed that crushes the Pixel 7 Pro’s smaller 23W capability. If you’re out and about a lot, then the OnePlus 11 will probably be better suited to your busy lifestyle.

Ultimately, you’ll need to decide which features in a smartphone are most important to you before you can arrive at your final decision.

OnePlus 11 vs Google Pixel 7 Pro – Features

First, we’re going to talk about the camera abilities of these phones.

OnePlus has typically struggled with picture quality, though since its partnership with lens specialist Hasselblad, this issue has been ironed out. The camera on the OnePlus 11 excels at low-light and night-time photography. It features three cameras on the back consisting of a main 50MP, an ultrawide, and a 2x telephoto lens.

But how does that compare to the Google Pixel 7 Pro? Google isn’t messing around with its flagship device, featuring some impressive camera tweaks that might swing hardcore smartphone photographers. It boasts special features like Photo Unblur, HDR+ with bracketing and Macro Focus. Most impressively of all, its 48MP camera hits a 5x zoom, which might just have the edge over the OnePlus 11.

However, we’ll have to wait for the OnePlus 11 to be released globally before we cast our final judgments.

OnePlus 11 vs Google Pixel 7 Pro – Design

There’s quite a stark difference in design between these two smartphones.

Though perhaps not to everyone’s taste, the OnePlus 11’s camera features a huge circular camera island on the back of the phone. While it does take some getting used to, we also think this design choice makes the phone distinct and unique.

The Pixel 7 Pro is largely similar to previous generations, featuring a visor-style camera island that makes it instantly recognizable as the Google phone. The aluminum island also promised to be more durable than last year’s glass-covered feature, meaning the Pixel cameras should be less prone to scratching.

Overall, your preference for design is personal, and we think both phones feature attractive, minimalist designs.

OnePlus 11 vs Google Pixel 7 Pro – Value for money

The Pixel 7 Pro has already been released, with the prospect of further discounts much more likely than for the unreleased OnePlus 11.

Though the OnePlus 11 looks like it has the edge in specs, the Pixel 7 Pro seriously delivers on value, especially when you compare it to Samsung’s newly released Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.

  1. OnePlus 10T – $649/£629/€699
  2. OnePlus 10 Pro – $899/£799/€899

Which one should you go for?

As we’ve already touched on, choosing between two flagship phones is usually a balancing act between price and performance.

The Google Pixel 7 Pro already has a lot of positive reception since it’s been out for longer. If you don’t fancy waiting for independent reviews of the OnePlus 11, go for the Pixel 7 Pro.

That being said, we’re really excited to see how well the OnePlus 11 performs. It’s a powerful phone, and definitely has a higher performance than the Pixel 7 Pro at least on paper.

We’d also confidently recommend the OnePlus 11 for its superior battery life. Not many other phones can compete with a 5000mAh battery, and 100W charging power.
