Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 is a studio response to Super Smash Bros, and allows you to pit popular TV characters such as SpongeBob Squarepants against others like Garfield. If that sounds like the perfect ignition to your childhood nostalgia, you’re likely going to be interested in what differences there are between the editions that are on offer.

NASB2 is the sequel to the success of the original Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, and builds on the popularity that the TV studio IP brought to the smash-fighting game genre. If you’re new to the series, the standard edition is likely your best option, but if you already have a vested interest in Nickelodeon fighting – you might be tempted by the Deluxe or Ultimate editions.

You can pre order Nickelodeon All Star Brawl 2 now, with the release date likely for later on this year. We’re expecting pre-orders to ship then, though many of the pre order editions are digital only, so you’re not going to need to worry about it arriving after the game’s official launch.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 Base edition explained

The base game is, as it says of the cover, just the base game. It only features the campaign and multiplayer, among other game modes. You won’t have access to the Season Pass, or any of the other perks.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 Deluxe edition explained

If you are already pretty set on playing the game for an extended period of time, and don’t have any issues with Season Passes, the Deluxe edition is the right one for you. Giving you access to the Season Pass, you’re going to be able to save $5 with this.

Alongside free access to a premium Spongebob costume, you’re also going to get free access to the four other characters introduced into the game.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 Ultimate edition explained

The ultimate edition is for anyone who’s already a huge fan of the franchise, and is committed to it for the long run. Alongside all of the above features, you’re also going to get exclusive bonus costumes for each character in the game.
