GameMill Entertainment has announced a sequel to its 2021 cartoon crossover brawler in the form of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2.

The sequel promises more of everything, naturally, starting off with revealing two new characters in this follow up. Spongebob sourpuss Squidward will be joining the roster, alongside Jimmy Neutron, the titular Boy Genius of his own show. They’ll be joined by a bunch of returning characters, including Aang from Avatar: The Last Airbender, Rocko from Rocko’s Modern Life, Reptar from Rugrats, Garfield, Invader Zim and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to name a few.

A tweet from the official account gives us a little more information, including confirming an all-new campaign, all-new gameplay, all-new modes and content, VO, Crossplay and plenty more to boot. A trailer showcases some of the graphical overhaul the sequel has over the first game, as well as revealing the two new brawlers in the follow-up.

It’d been rumoured that a sequel was in the works for some time, after screenshots purported to be from the game turned up on the game’s official Subreddit about six months ago showing Squidward in action. These rumours were further solidified when, of all people, the creator of El Tigre retweeted another reportedly leaked image of the game, to which he responded ‘Guess who’s back?’ and in doing so all-but-confirming the character’s inclusion.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 doesn’t have a release date yet outside of later this year, but will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC when it arrives.
