With CES 2024 behind us now, we’re closing in on a release date for the Acer Predator Z57, while the price and specs have both been confirmed.

One of the slightly more expensive monitors revealed this year, it almost seems more a novelty than a practical piece of hardware, a bit like the Samsung Odyssey Ark. At 57-inches wide, you’re probably also going to need a new desk to fit this thing into your set-up.

The Acer Predator Z57 release date is coming in Q2 2024

Acer has said that the Predator Z57 will be released by Q2 2024 in the US, Europe and EMEA, which was confirmed at in Las Vegas. It would be hard to take a stab at when exactly in this time frame we could expect it, especially since there’s not really much of an established release pattern to make predictions from.

The Acer Predator Z57 specs look phenomenal

The full specifications for the Acer Predator Z57 are a pretty good indication as to why the price is so high: 57-inches, 7680 x 2160 resolution, 2,304 zones and up an 120Hz refresh rate to boot.

This is one of the largest monitor displays you’re going to be able to find anywhere, and the fact that it’s curved at 1000R means you’re going to have an extremely ergonomic view of whatever game landscape you choose to enjoy. It’s of monolithic proportions, and if you’re considering it you’re going to need to make sure that the rest of your hardware is up to scratch.

The DUHD aspect ratio is going to demand a lot from your graphics cards, and the latest RTX 40-series and RDNA 3 graphics cards are going to be a pre-requisite rendering this. On top of that, trying to max out the 120Hz refresh rate is going to be taxing on your CPU too.

The price of the Predator Z57 is equally large

Not only will you need a wide desk, you’re going to need deep pockets too. As per The Verge, it’s starting at $2,499 in the US and €2,399 in Europe, this is going to be a monitor reserved for only the most dedicated and hardcore gamers.

The Samsung Neo G9 57-inch monitor was priced similarly, so it’s not too much of a surprise that this one has an equally expensive price-tag to compete.

Acer’s Predator Z57 is a luxury item, but if you’re in the market for an Ultrawide monitor in a 32:9 aspect ratio, we’ve gathered our thoughts on the best ultrawide monitors that will suit your fancy.
