Nintendo has announced that subscribers of the Nintendo Switch Online service can now get their hands on two classic Zelda titles originally released for the Game Boy Color.

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages are now both available for players to download, letting them relieve the 2001 time travelling adventures of Link as he explores two new lands. Yes, rather than the traditional setting of Hyrule, Seasons transports our favourite green hero to Holodrum while Ages sees him transported to Labrynna. Along the way, you’ll get to use the Rod of Seasons to control the weather in OoS, and the Harp of Ages that lets you control time in OoA.

In a neat twist, you’ll have to play both games to uncover the full plot, while exploring the series traditional dungeons and collecting the eight Essences for each game to defeat Onox and Veran and save the day, and hopefully have the Triforce take you back to Hyrule. The two games are much more than a palette swap too, with Ages being a more puzzle focused offering and Seasons bigger focus on Action. In the original games, they could also communicate with each other via a password system, which makes it across intact in the Switch version.

Of course, it’s been a good year of eating for Zelda fans, thanks in part to the enormous success of Tears of the Kingdom earlier this year. These releases will give players a chance to explore a couple of the series’ older games, with N64 classics Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask already available on the service. Zelda Oracle of Seasons and Zelda Oracle of Ages are both available now via Nintendo Switch Online.
