Following a successful Server Test Session last month, Ubisoft is gearing up to release XDefiant and players won’t have long to wait as the game will launch later this month. Many players are hoping to see XDefiant go toe to toe with the likes of Call of Duty, and even upstaging games such as Modern Warfare 3.
Ahead of it’s launch later this month, Ubisoft has shared details on what to expect. Here is everything you need to know about the XDefiant launch.
Release Date And Platforms
XDefiant will launch on May 21st, 2024 at 10AM PT/1PM ET and it will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Ubisoft Connect.
Is XDefiant Free To Play?
XDefiant will be a free-to-play game with optional microtransactions in the forms of cosmetics, similar to games such as Fortnite and Call of Duty.
Preseason Details
XDefiant will launch in the Pre Season before Season 1 launches at a currently unconfirmed date. This will be a great opportunity for players to try the game for the first time and let Ubisoft iron out any issues once it is being played by a large amount of players. New! Ranked Mode Practice Playlist
XDefiant will feature a ranked mode in the form of 4v4 competitive matches.
This playlist will include 4v4 versions of: Domination, Occupy, Escort, Zone Control
Rewards
Rewards unlocked during the Server Test Session and Insider Sessions will be available at launch.
The Future
Following the six week Preseason, XDefiant will see a new season released every three months, bring new weapons, maps, events, factions, and more.
In total Year 1 will include an additional:
- 4 Factions
- 12 Weapons
- 12 Maps
