Microsoft has launched an Xbox Game Pass friend referral program that allows members of the subscription service to gift free 14-day PC Game Pass trials to their friends. However, you can only be eligible for this promotion if you haven’t previously been subscribed to it in the past.

If you haven’t tried it out yet, then this would be the perfect time to do so as the trial comes with all the perks that PC Game Pass comes with. This includes access to the latest day one titles, EA Play membership, and you’ll also be able to check out the biggest creations from Riot Games.

Some of the most notable games that are included with the desktop-only subscription include Forza Horizon 5 and Sea of Thieves, both of which still have a devoted player base to this day. Naturally, the recently released vampire-slaying FPS entry, Redfall, will similarly be available through this tier, meaning you’ll also be able to jump into the thrilling entry with your friends if you choose to do so.

It’s worth noting, though, that members with access to the Xbox Game Pass friend referral program will only be able to give it to five people. Afterwards, they’ll no longer have the ability to provide a free trial to anyone regardless of their subscription tier. But if your friends decide to join the Microsoft service after the preliminary period, then they’ll be able to give away their own trials to five more friends as well.

Unfortunately, this promotion is only available for Windows users so console players may have to wait for a while before they get their own similar program. With that said, this should still help the subscription service continue to grow even more as its stream of significant AAA games continues to entertain the masses.

If you’re already subscribed to Microsoft’s subscription service, though, then check out our Redfall best graphics settings for PC and Xbox and latest Xbox Game Pass additions instead.
